The invention relates to a method for coordinating access to a resource of a distributed computer system, which has a plurality of distributed client stations, wherein there are at least two client stations, each having at least one computer, at least one resource of the computer system, at least one resource manager, which is designed to manage the resources of the computer system assigned thereto, and at least one internal communication medium, via which the at least one computer, the at least one resource and the at least one resource manager are coupled, client-station-internally, for carrying out data communication, wherein the client stations are coupled to each other via at least one external communication medium in order to carry out data communication. According to the invention, the client stations can communicate among each other. The invention furthermore relates to a computer system of this kind and a computer program for carrying out the method.

Method for coordinating access to a resource of a distributed computer system, computer system and computer program

A method for operating a multiprocessor computer system which has at least two microprocessors, resources which are jointly used by the microprocessors, programs executed on the computer system, and at least one resource manager. The resource manager manages resources which are assigned to said manager and can be adjusted at least in terms of their time response. The resource manager receives and processes reservation requests for reserving desired resources, which reservation requests are transmitted by programs. The reservation requests describe at least the type, scope and time response of the desired resources. The resource manager allocates the respectively desired resources to the requesting program if said resources are available. The resource manager adjusts the time response of the allocated resources according to the time response requested with the reservation request.

Method for operating a multiprocessor computer system

The invention relates to a method for operating a multiprocessor computer system which has at least two microprocessors () and resources () which are jointly used by the microprocessors, programs () being able to be executed on the computer system, characterized by at least one resource manager () with the following features:

Complex distributed systems with basic components (B) which have data processing program modules and/or electronic circuit modules that exchange data with each other have their timing behavior analyzed based on the timing behavior of individual basic components (B) and transformation functions derived from event model classes.

Method for analysis of the time response of complex distributed systems

In an arrangement for processing digital video data there is provided for the most universal use of the arrangement and for a fast data exchange between components inside the arrangement. The arrangement utilizes at least one video data computer, at least one video data interface and at least one standard computer and/or one video hardware component, between which the video data can be exchanged through a fiber channel. The video data computer and the video interface(s) are controlled by at least one control computer via an Ethernet bus.
