A light signal, in particular for rail-bound traffic routes, includes a control device which controls a light source, and an optical system for visualizing a signal term. In order to more precisely adjust brightness boundaries, light distribution and phantom light intensity, a transmission-controllable smart-glass element is provided in an aperture segment of the light flow.

Light signal

A light signal, in particular for rail-bound traffic routes, includes a light source, an optical system and a control device for adjusting an emission characteristic. In order to improve the way optical parameters, in particular regarding brightness, phantom light and path geometry can be adjusted, the control device is configured to adjust the transmission properties of at least one smart glass element disposed in the luminous or light flux.

Light Signal

A circuit arrangement for revealing light signal errors, in particular for railway safety systems, includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part, configured for incandescent lamps, for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. The device for revealing errors includes an error differentiator between the line-related interference voltage and error of the signal generator. The reliability of the error differentiation is improved and rendered independent of capacitive intermediate energy storage devices, in that the signal generator is connected to a resistance arrangement such that the signal generator voltage is greater, in high-resistance signal generators, than an interference voltage.

Circuit arrangement for revealing light signal errors

A method for revealing a light signal error, in particular for railway safety systems, and a device for carrying out the method includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part which is designed for incandescent lamps for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. In order to be able to evaluate the operation of said type of control part with an incandescent lamp interface also when the signal is flashing, it is provided that when the signal generator is activated in the flashing mode, in which no signal voltage is supplied during the flashing intervals, a timer which is connected to a voltage source measures the duration of the pauses between the flashes, and in the event of an error, maintains the disconnection for at least one flashing cycle and signals to the control part.

Method and apparatus for revealing errors in the case of a light signal

An LED light signal, in particular an LED railway light signal, contains a signal generator for generating varicolored light spots. The LEDs are embodied as multicolor LEDs, in particular RGB LEDs&#x2014;Red/Yellow/Blue LEDs. In order to be able to utilize the possibilities for color mixing and thus for realizing a large number of color variants for safety-relevant signaling technology, the signal generator has at least one optical sensor for monitoring a color locus and a light intensity reliably in terms of signaling technology.

LED light signal

A light signal contains a semiconductor light source and a convex lens system for representing signal aspects, especially on rail-bound traffic routes. In order to eliminate the need for monochrome semiconductor light sources, the semiconductor light source is a white point light source. A signal aspect-specific color filter is provided in the aperture region of the point light source.
