An industrial truck having a battery compartment that accommodates a replaceable battery block, the battery compartment comprising at least one lateral access opening for inserting and for withdrawing the battery block, the base of the battery compartment having at least one guide track in the battery movement direction capable of supporting the battery block such that it can move relative to the battery compartment on the guide track by a support element provided on the battery block. The battery compartment base may have a plurality of roller accommodation openings into which rollers can be inserted. A separate shelf may be arranged at a distance from the battery compartment base by means of spacers, the shelf having a plurality of roller accommodation openings into which rollers can be inserted.

The invention relates to a battery changing system comprising an industrial truck and a battery pack, which is or can inserted into a battery compartment of the industrial truck, wherein the battery pack may be inserted into a lateral access opening of the battery compartment with a first end leading into the battery compartment and may be withdrawn from the battery compartment with its first end at the rear, wherein the battery pack accommodated in the battery compartment can be supported in the vicinity of its first end with at least one rolling body on the base of the battery compartment, and at least one transport device, on which the battery pack can be accommodated. The transport device may comprise a changeable adapter, which can be aligned in a predetermined position for a battery changing operation relative to the industrial truck by means of mutually interacting alignment means.

The invention relates to a locking mechanism for securing a battery pack () which is accommodated in an electrical vehicle (), in particular in an electrical industrial truck, comprising a vehicle-side plug element () and a battery plug element (), which can be plugged together with said plug element () and is connected to the battery pack (). In this case, it is provided according to the invention that the mechanism comprises a locking element (), which is arranged on the vehicle () and can be moved, in particular pivoted, between a battery release position and a battery locking position, the locking element () and the vehicle-side plug element () being arranged in relation to one another in such a way that the plug-type connection between the vehicle-side plug element () and the battery plug element () can be produced and released depending on the position of the locking element ().
