An apparatus for optically inspecting a test specimen has an at least partly reflective surface including a camera having a number of pixels and an illumination device having a multiplicity of spatially distributed light sources. A workpiece receptacle serves for positioning the test specimen relative to the illumination device and the camera, such that light from the light sources is reflected by the surface to the camera. An evaluation and control unit generates a series of different illumination patterns on the surface, wherein in the course of the series different light sources are switched on. An individual light origin region is determined on the basis of the images recorded by the camera for at least one pixel, whereby the region represents a spatial distribution of individual light contributions generated by the light sources via the surface on the at least one pixel.

Method and apparatus for optically inspecting a test specimen having an at least partly reflective surface

The invention relates to a method for detecting measurement data on coordinate measuring and digitalizing machines. When the measuring times of the coordinate measuring machine and the sensor are determined by an electric signal (trigger), the equality thereof can be guaranteed and the influence of signal propagation delays can be excluded. The nth sensor information always corresponds to the nth machine information. Allocation is made easier when each value detected at a measuring time obtains an identifier. In one embodiment, surface points of a free forming surface can be detected during movement of the sensor on the coordinate measuring machine and by means of a measuring sensor. The measuring times are determined by an electric signal that is produced by the sensor and is transmitted to the coordinate measuring machine. The signal triggers distance measuring of the sensor as well as the output of the current machine position.

Method for determining measuring points on a workpiece and a measuring system therefor

The invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for measuring the edges 13 of a workpiece 5 with an optical probe 4. The probe 4 measures the distance values (a) between the probe 4 and an adjustable scanning point 15. In the method, the scanning point 15 is moved along a loop path (36a, 36b, . . . , 36n) over the edge 13 of the workpiece 5 to be measured in order to obtain more exact values for measured points of the edge at a higher measuring speed. During the method, distance values (a) are measured by the probe 4 and a point P of the edge 13 is determined from the course of the measured values.
