A subsea arrangement including a base structure; a tubular member rotatably mounted to the base structure through an annular bearing, wherein a section of the envelop surface of the tubular member is covered by a layer of thermally insulating material; a ring-shaped insulating member of open cell polymer foam mounted to the tubular member, wherein an inner edge of the insulating member is in contact with the envelop surface of the tubular member and the insulating member protrudes radially from the tubular member. The insulating member is positioned between an inner edge of the layer and the annular bearing with a first lateral surface of the insulating member in sliding contact with the inner edge of the layer and with an opposite second lateral surface of the insulating member in contact with a part of the annular bearing.

Subsea arrangement

A vertical connection system for subsea connection of a first tubular member to a second tubular member, the system comprising a lower coupling member comprising an upright casing which encloses a liquid-filled space, wherein a hub of the first tubular member is fixed to the casing at an upper end thereof and the first tubular member extends through said space; and an upper coupling member, which comprises a guide frame configured to slidingly receive said casing when the upper coupling member is lowered downwards onto the lower coupling member, wherein a hub of the second tubular member is fixed to the upper coupling member. The guide frame is provided with a layer of thermally insulating material on its outside. The liquid-filled space is delimited downwards by a bottom wall formed by thermally insulating material or covered by a layer of thermally insulating material.

Thermally insulated vertical subsea connection system

A horizontal connection system including: a first holding unit, to which a first hub is fixed; a second holding unit, to which a second hub is fixed; a heat bank including a casing with a rear part secured to the first holding unit and a front part releasably connectable to the rear part; and a clamp connector secured to the first holding unit and received inside the heat bank. The parts of the casing are temporarily fixed to each other by connecting members extending between the parts on the outside thereof. The front part of the casing is provided with fastening members configured to come into engagement with associated fastening members on the second holding unit, to thereby allow the front part to be secured to the second holding unit, when the front part and the second holding unit are brought into contact with each other.

Horizontal connection system for subsea hub connections

A termination arrangement for use in a horizontal connection system for subsea connection of a first tubular member to a second tubular member, the termination arrangement including a base structure with a horizontal tubular body. The first tubular member is rotatably mounted to the tubular body through an annular bearing. An internal fluid chamber accommodating a liquid having heat-storing capacity is formed inside the tubular body and delimited at one end by the annular bearing and at another end by a rear end wall. A section of the first tubular member extends through the fluid chamber and is in contact with the liquid in the fluid chamber so as to allow the liquid to delay cooling of this section of the first tubular member by means of heat stored in the liquid.

Termination arrangement for use in a horizontal connection system

A pipeline termination arrangement to be mounted to a pipeline end section to support a pipeline hub of the pipeline end section during and after a subsea connection of the pipeline hub to a spool piece hub fixed to a spool piece termination structure is provided. The pipeline termination arrangement includes a landing structure for supporting the spool piece termination structure; a connection porch fixed to the landing structure; and a support structure which is fixed to the pipeline end section and provided with a guide frame. The guide frame slidably supports the landing structure so as to allow the landing structure and the connection porch to slide along the guide frame from a first position, in which the connection porch is located in front of and at a distance from the pipeline hub, to a second position, in which the connection porch is in contact with the pipeline hub.

Pipeline termination arrangement

A connection system for subsea connection of a subsea umbilical to a subsea appliance, the system comprising a termination box fixed to the umbilical; a first coupling part mounted to the termination box; a second coupling part; a connection unit, to which the termination box is slidably mounted; and a landing unit, which has a fixed position in relation to the second coupling part. Guide members are provided on the connection unit and the landing unit for guiding the connection unit into a correct position in relation to the landing unit when the connection unit is lowered downwards into contact with the landing unit. The termination box is displaceable axially forwards in relation to the connection unit by means of an actuating unit so as to bring the first coupling part into contact with the second coupling part.

Connection system for subsea connection of a subsea umbilical to a subsea appliance

A pipeline termination skid to be mounted to a pipeline end section in order to support a pipeline hub of the pipeline end section during and after the connection of the pipeline hub to a corresponding spool piece hub. The termination skid comprises a base frame having a downwardly directed opening for a pipeline end section, and at least one holding unit provided with a downwardly directed seat having a downwardly directed entrance opening so as to allow the pipeline end section to be moved into contact with the seat by being lifted upwards through the entrance opening. The holding unit is provided with a locking device for securing the pipeline end section to the holding unit in a lifted position in contact with the seat of the holding unit.

Pipeline termination skid

A pipeline termination skid to be mounted to a pipeline end section to support a pipeline hub during the connection of the pipeline hub to a corresponding spool piece hub. The pipeline termination skid is so designed that a pipeline end section may be mounted thereto subsea by lowering the pipeline end section into a seat of one or several holding devices of the pipeline termination skid and thereafter displacing the pipeline termination skid along the pipeline end section so that the respective seat is brought into engagement with an alignment element secured about the pipeline end section so as to thereby fix the pipeline end section axially and radially in relation to the pipeline termination skid. A connection arrangement includes the pipeline termination skid, a pipeline termination designed for co-operation with the termination skid and a method for subsea connection of a pipeline to a spool piece.

A spool piece termination structure to be mounted to a spool piece so as to support a spool piece hub during the connection of the spool piece hub to a corresponding pipeline hub. The termination structure includes a clamping device for clamping together the spool piece hub and pipeline hub, and a base frame openly shaped downwards so as to allow the termination structure to receive a pipeline end section provided with the pipeline hub by lowering the termination structure downwards onto the pipeline end section. A connection arrangement includes such a spool piece termination structure and a method for subsea connection of a pipeline to a spool piece.
