An injection molding method for manufacturing a functional part having a recess, e.g., a borehole, includes a) injecting a first thermoplastic component into an injection mold, in the cavity of which a first mold core is situated, b) replacing the first mold core with a second mold core, the second mold core being smaller than the first mold core, and the second mold core being situated in the cavity formed in the first thermoplastic component by the first mold core in such a way that the second mold core is situated at a distance from the first thermoplastic component by an intervening space, c) injecting a second thermoplastic component into the space between the second mold core and the first thermoplastic component, and d) removing the second mold core.

A support element for a wiper strip belonging to a wiper blade for motor vehicle windows is proposed, which assures proper contact of a wiper strip, belonging to the wiper blade, with the window to be wiped. The support element is embodied as elongated in bandlike fashion, and it comprises an elastic plastic. The rubber-elastic wiper strip, elongated in bandlike fashion, can be secured to the support element longitudinally axially parallel. An especially durably operationally reliable support element is obtained if the support element is made from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plastic, and the fibers are admixed with the plastic.

A method for positionally securing two components together, in which a hollow body is introduced into the two components. Once the final position of the components relative to one another has been established, the hollow body is driven directly into the second component with the application of axial pressure and sonic energy. The method is suitable for employment with thermoplastic components whose relative position to one another is known beforehand, an example being in the assembly of housing parts of a rotary adjuster for controlling a flow cross section in internal combustion engines.
