A geared motor includes an electric motor enclosed by a housing, a brush mounting plate having a plurality of brushes including at least one ground brush connected to ground and a connector element having a brush locator to accommodate an electrical connection to the ground brush and a ground locator to accommodate an element connected to ground. The ground locator is detachably connected directly with the grounded gear housing.

In a drive mechanism for a windshield wiper, a switch disk for realizing a park position switch is supported so as to be independently rotatable relative to an output gear of a gear unit. The output gear and the switch disk are coupled with each other via a coupling device, with the coupling device acting as an engaging device carrying the switch disk along, in one direction of rotation only. In order to lower an axial dimension of the gear unit, the disk is rotatably supported on a sleeve, through which an output shaft extends so that the end of the shaft can support itself directly on a housing lid.

An electric motor used especially for driving windshield wipers of motor vehicles which includes a gear pot and a metal cover with an outside and an inside and a plastic component which is injection-molded substantially at the outside of the cover and into which at least one conductive strip punched out from a metal blank and positioned substantially at the outside is embedded. In order to achieve an exact position of the conductive strip, the conductive strip is supported by a holding device from the inside of the cover through an aperture in the cover during the injection molding process. The plastic component includes at least one recess within the aperture in the cover which is open towards the inside of the cover and extends up to the conductive strip, unless the recess is filled with material afterwards.

This invention relates to an electric small-size motor comprising an armature, whose shaft 31, whose laminated core 25 and whose commutator 26 are secured relative to one another in an integral plastics part 28, which also insulates the laminated core 25 from the windings. In order to couple the armature with a driven shaft a receiver 32 with a cross-section deviating from the shape of a circle is provided in the shaft 31 from at least one end of the latter, into which receiver the other shaft 33 with a matching cross-section can engage.

An automotive fuel pump having a return channel from the pressure side to the suction side thereof, comprising an opening in the housing independent of the outlet channel and opening to the inlet channel. The return channel is located in the area of the pressure side armature bearing. This construction enables elimination of gas bubble formation when the fuel being pumped is warmed.

The armature includes a pair of symmetrical housing covers provided with axially extending webs. The webs overlap in nesting relationship and are provided with interlocking elements.
