The invention relates to known housing seals of two housing parts lying against each other, a first housing part () having a first sealing surface () and a second housing part () having a second sealing surface (), which housing seals are equipped with a seal (), which is inserted into a groove () in the first sealing surface () of the first housing part (), wherein the groove () is covered by the second sealing surface () of the second housing part (). According to the invention, in order to prevent crevice corrosion, the groove () has an opening () between the sealing surfaces (), which is used to ventilate the groove () having the inserted seal. The invention is intended for water pumps, in particular for auxiliary water pumps of motor vehicles.

The invention relates to a valve for controlling volumetric flows in a heating and/or cooling system of a motor vehicle, comprising a valve housing (), from which at least one inlet channel () and at least one outlet channel () branch, in addition to at least one disc-type valve body () for controlling the flow, said body being located in the valve housing so that it can rotate about the axis () of a driven shaft (). According to the invention, the valve body () is operatively connected to an electromotive drive () by means of a gear system (). The invention also relates to a heating and/or cooling system () of a motor vehicle, comprising a valve () of this type.
