A method for operating a hand-guided machine tool. The method contains detecting at least one linear acceleration value by means of the at least one sensor apparatus (); subtracting the gravitational acceleration from the at least one linear acceleration value to form an adjusted linear acceleration value; integrating the adjusted linear acceleration value into a speed value; integrating the speed value into a distance value; multiplying the speed value by a time constant to form at least one further distance value; adding the distance value to the further distance value to form at least one total distance value; filtering at least one of the linear acceleration values and/or at least one of the speed values; comparing the total distance value with a defined limit value; and initiating a predefined action when the total distance value exceeds the defined limit value. A hand-held machine tool for carrying out such a method is also described.

Method for operating a hand-guided machine tool, and hand-held machine tool

A handheld power tool includes a tool holder for holding a tool, an electric motor, a shaft connecting the tool holder and the electric motor, and a protective device for stopping the tool holder in an uncontrolled situation. The protective device includes a sensor for detecting the uncontrolled situation, a switchable current source and a normally closing magnetic brake. The switchable current source outputs a first current not equal to zero in response to signals of the sensor if an uncontrolled situation is not detected; the current source does not output a current or outputs a second current different from the first current if an uncontrolled situation is detected. The normally closing magnetic brake engages on the shaft and does not apply a torque to the shaft when energized by the first current. The normally closing magnetic brake applies a torque counteracting the rotational movement of the shaft when not energized or when energized by the second current.

Handheld power tool

A control method for a power tool for rotary tools comprises rotating a tool holder continuously about a working axis by a rotary drive. A rotary movement of a handle about the working axis is sensed by a motion sensor. A first angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a first motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath a limit value are discounted. A second angle of rotation of the handle is estimated by a second motion estimator, wherein rotary movements beneath the limit value are taken into account. A measure for reducing the torque output of the rotary drive is activated when the first angle of rotation exceeds a first triggering threshold (A), and when the second angle of rotation exceeds a second triggering threshold (A) and at the same time a power output of the rotary drive exceeds a power threshold (L).

A control method is provided for a hand-held power tool (), which includes a motor () for rotationally driving a tool holder () about a working axis (), including the following steps: detecting a rotary motion of the hand-held power tool () about the working axis (); detecting a rotary or pivoting motion about a transverse axis () extending transversely to the working axis (); triggering a safety function for reducing the torque output of the motor () when the rotary motion about the working axis () exceeds a limiting value, and suppressing the safety function when the rotary or pivoting motion about the transverse axis () is greater than a threshold value.

Control method for a hand-held power tool

The control method for a hammer drill () provides the following steps. During basic operation, the motor () rotates at an operating speed for the drilling operation with chiseling action in order to rotationally drive the tool holder () and to drive the hammer mechanism () with a nominal striking power. The torque coupling () is monitored with the aid of a sensor (). If a disengagement of the torque coupling () occurs, the striking power of the hammer mechanism () is reduced to below 10% of the nominal striking power during a disengagement of the torque coupling (), and the torque coupling () is driven. When the disengagement of the torque coupling () ends, the striking power of the hammer mechanism () is increased to the nominal striking power and the torque coupling () is driven at the operating speed for the drilling operation with chiseling action.

A method for controlling a device system is disclosed, and the device system includes a tool device and a motorized advancing apparatus during the machining of a workpiece composed of a first material and a second material different from the first material. The method includes machining the workpiece by the device system initially in a first operating mode with first machining parameters that are stored for the first material. After the start of the machining of the workpiece in the first operating mode, the method includes measuring and storing a first machining progress of the tool device as a reference value. During the machining of the workpiece in the first operating mode, the method also includes regularly measuring and comparing with a first threshold value a current machining progress of the tool device.

Method for controlling a device system, which comprises a tool device and motorized advancing apparatus

An accessory that can be connected to a machine drill is provided. A projector is provided to project a first light spot and a second light spot to a work piece to be processed. A camera is provided to record the first light spot and the second light spot in an image. A processing device is provided to determine an incline of the machine drill in reference to the work piece, based on a first distance of the first light spot from a reference point recorded in the image and a second distance of the second light spot from the reference point recorded in the image. A display device is coupled to the processing device and displays the determined incline. The light spots may be embodied punctual or planar.

A drilling apparatus and control method is disclosed. An auxiliary device can be connected to a drilling machine. The auxiliary device includes a camera aligned in a working direction for recording an image of a working surface and a drill hole generated by the drilling machine. An image processing device is provided for identifying the drill hole in the image. Based on a distance from the drill hole to a reference point in the image, an evaluation device determines a distance from the drilling machine to the workpiece. A display device serves to indicate the determined distance.

For the automatic determination of the diameter of a tool, particularly a saw blade for an automatic wall saw, which is driven by a motor via a gear unit, the moment of inertia of the tool is used as an indicator for its diameter. Three basic solution variants are introduced. In particular, the system including a motor, gear unit and tool is treated as a dual-mass oscillator such that the elasticity of the shafts and gears is arranged as a torsion spring between the inertial masses in two discrete points while taking into account two coefficients of friction including coefficients of the known inertia of the motor rotor (&#x398;) and of the tool (&#x398;). This system can be described by equations which are then simplified by reasonable assumptions or premises. The selected formulations are solved for the moment of inertia of the tool to determine the diameter therefrom and to make an optimal adjustment for the drive possible which is adapted to the respective tool.

Hand held rotary-percussion tool with an electronic depth stop

The method of and a device for using this method, on equipment or assigned to equipment for working a material, for investigating and identifying the nature of the material, which is to be worked and for making available at least one operating parameter for the optimized pre-setting of the working equipment, provides for the use of a sensor, preferably assigned directly to the working tool, such as a hammer drill, in order to detect shock waves generated or induced in the tool. From the shock wave signal measured, at least one distinguishing feature characteristic of the material to be worked, is extracted and evaluated for the comparative classification of the material by means of an algorithm.
