A flushing device for a urinal comprises a connection unit and a control unit, wherein the connection unit can be fixed to the urinal and the control unit can be connected to the connection unit via an interface. The connection unit comprises a connection pipe with an inlet, for connection to a mains system, and an outlet, a flushing pipe with an inlet and an outlet for connection to a nozzle arrangement for discharging flushing water into the urinal bowl of the urinal, and a support element on which the outlet of the connection pipe and the inlet of the flushing pipe are mounted in a fixed position. The control unit comprises a support element on which are arranged at least one control element, a pipe section with an inlet and an outlet and a flushing valve, which is arranged between the inlet and outlet and has a power-supply element.

Flushing device

A method for setting at least one parameter on an actuation element () for triggering a function, in particular flushing, on a sanitary system, wherein the actuation element () comprises at least two actuation sensors () for detecting an input of a user and at least two optical display elements (). The actuation element () is transferred from an operating mode (B) into a setting mode (E), in which said parameters can be set, with the simultaneous activation of at least two actuation sensors () over a preset time interval (T).

Method for setting parameters

An apparatus for electrically triggering water discharge is connected to an operating plate () and a sensor () that is arranged in a rearwards region. The operating plate () is transparent or translucent for human visible and infrared light wavelengths and provides at least one indication surface region (). The indication surface region has a partially transmissive coating (), behind which are one or more light sources () emitting light that is visible to the human eye. At least one signal-transmitter surface region () is provided with a coating that is non-transmissive for light that is visible to the human eye and is transparent or translucent for infrared wavelengths, behind which light sources (), which emit one or more infrared wavelengths, are arranged. At least one sensor surface region () is disposed remote from the user and has a coating that is non-transmissive for light that is visible to the human eye and is transparent or translucent for infrared wavelengths, behind which are one or more sensors () that are sensitive to infrared wavelengths.
