A container () having a valve flap () which is movable between a closed position, whereat it is seated on the seating area () to close an evacuation port (), and an opened position, whereat it is unseated from the seating area () to open the evacuation port (). A label structure () includes a film layer () forming a seat platform on which a seating area () is located and/or a film layer () forming a flap platform on which the valve flap () is located. A plurality of label structures () can be efficiently and economically mass-produced by a label-manufacturer and then supplied to the container-manufacturer for incorporation into the containers ().

Evacuatable container

A valve () is provided for sealing an evacuation port () in a port area () of a wall structure () of a container. The valve () comprises a casing () having a shell portion () which is deformable from an open condition, whereat the shell portion () forms a chamber () over the port area (), and a closed condition, whereat the shell portion () contacts the port area (). When the shell portion () is in its open condition, gas exits from the chamber () through gas-releasing holes () in the casing (). When the shell portion () is deformed to its closed condition, a port-sealing adhesive () adheres to the port area () to thereby seal the evacuation port ().
