A profile element for attachment to the rear side of a façade panel, which in turn is fastened to a base such as a building surface or substructure. The profile element is formed in one piece and includes three functional sections arranged one after another: a fixing section for fixing the profile element to a base; a support section for attachment to the façade panel; and a spacer element which, in the installed state, ensures the correct distance between the base and the rear side of the façade panel. The profile element is extendible by a supplementary element, which has functionally similar elements and is only used if required by the geometry of the façade panel. The supplementary element is usable for positive connection to the profile element of an adjacent façade panel. Such a façade system provides flexibility for a wide variety of types and dimensions of façade panels.

Facade fastening system having profile elements

A centering device for guiding a fastener or a drill during a setting operation. The centering device is arranged in or at a passage opening of a component, which forms a fastening point. The component can be a substantially flat metal part, in particular a lug or bracket for a façade element. The centering device is arranged at the plane of the back of the passage opening and includes a collar and connecting elements between the collar and the edge of the passage opening. The collar has a substantially flat to bead-like annular shape and is formed in the component. The central opening of the collar forms a centering seat for a fastener or drill during setting. A fastening arrangement has a component, centering device and matching screw. The screw forms a form fit via its lower head portion in the passage opening after completion of the setting process.

Centering device and fastening arrangement

A sleeve for the centering of fasteners when installing structural parts on substructure of a building envelope is designed substantially as a hollow cylindrical sleeve body or split hollow cylindrical sleeve body. It has at least two gutter-like shell elements each having a head end and a rear end. The shell elements are grouped symmetrically about a central axis A and span between them a middle space with inner surfaces facing each other. The shell elements are spaced apart from each other and separated by axially parallel longitudinal slots, except for a connecting joint section at the head end. These sleeves are placed on a fastener and allow a precise centering in the predrilled hole of a facade plate, for example. The sleeve remains in the predrilled hole until such time as the centering of the fastener has been accomplished and is then ejected safely by driving the fastener home.

Centering sleeve and fastening method

A facade panel screw for the optimized fastening of facade panel elements to a substructure has a head having a very large diameter, a subsequent, essentially cylindrical shaft section () extending along a central longitudinal axis (A) and a subsequent tip region (). The shaft section () includes, as viewed from the head, a threadless underhead section (), a stop collar () and a threaded section (). The thread in a first part () of the threaded section () subsequent to the stop collar () has an outer diameter D, which is attenuated compared to the thread in a second part () with outer diameter D, over several convolutions, so that D&#x3c;D. This threaded sectionallows a controlled overwinding of the facade panel screw in use. A corresponding fastening arrangement includes a facade panel, a substructure for transferring the load to a building surface and the facade panel screw.

A sleeve () for centering fasteners during the assembly of components such as facade elements on the substructure of a building envelope includes a sleeve body () and a connection bracket (). The sleeve body () has a plurality of sleeve elements () which are grouped around a central center axis A and are spaced apart from each other by gaps running in the sleeve longitudinal direction. At least a first () and a second () sleeve piece are connected to each other at an axial longitudinal end of the sleeve body () by a separable connection bracket (), preferably the connection bracket is separable via predetermined breaking points. Such a sleeve is used in the construction of facades, wherein it is inserted into a pilot hole of a facade element, the connection bracket is broken off and a fastener is inserted into the sleeve. Driving the fastener centers the fastener in the sleeve and the sleeve is removed from the pilot hole.

Centering sleeve and method for fastening

A facade element holder includes first and second profile elements, the first profile element having two sections A and B. Here, section A has a first surface shape X and section B as a second surface shape Y. The second profile element has two sections C and D with a first surface shape X' and a second surface shape Y&#x2032;. X and X&#x2032; and Y and Y&#x2032; have substantially the same contour diametrically oppositely in pairs, the spacings from A to B and from C to D being chosen to be substantially equal. The first and second profile elements can thus inter-engage in a form-fitting manner in section A and C and in section B and D. A method for mounting facade elements with such a facade element holder includes providing first and second profile elements and facade elements, and fitting the second profile elements to the rear side of the facade elements and installing the first profile elements horizontally as outer terminating elements of a substructure on a load-bearing building envelope. Individual facade elements are mounted by the second profile element(s) being brought into engagement with the first profile elements such that a form-fitting connection is achieved.

A self-boring screw () having a boring section () attached to the free end of the screw shaft (), two vanes () radially protruding from the boring section, the edges of the vanes facing toward the boring tip () of the boring section () being configured as boring blades (). The boring section () includes a chip discharge zone () that is configured such that the edges of the vanes () facing toward the boring tip () forms a cutting point (S) with a boring radius (), the cutting point having a distance (A) to the screw shaft () that is at least &#x2154; of the cutting edge length of the bore tip (). The chip discharge zone () makes it possible that the chips produced by the boring blade () at the boring tip () can be discharged freely and without buildup. The material cut by the boring blade () is conveyed as chipped material away from the boring tip () in the direction of the cutting point (S) at a lower vane connection () as a result of the rotational motion of the screw (), thus ensuring unhindered chip discharge. It is possible to compress the chips to be discharged to a maximum of &#x2154; of the cross section occurring after the cut. This ensures that even critically sized chips are removed without blocking the discharge of chips from the area of the boring section ().

Self-boring screw

A screw () is provided, having a shaft () and a head (), for fastening a component onto a substructure utilizing a tightly pressing conical sealing disk () against the component. The screw head () is configured at the bottom () thereof around the shaft () as a cone that is tapered in the direction of the top () of the screw head (). The cone angle of the conical sealing disk () measured against a perpendicular line to the disk axis is equal to, or larger than the cone angle (alpha) of the screw head (), which is measured against a perpendicular line to the screw axis. When the screw () is tightened, the conical bottom () of the screw head () and the conical top () of the sealing disk () are in mutual surface contact with each other. This maintains a sealing connection. Through the conical configuration of the bottom () of the screw head () the so-called 'cupping' of the sealing disk () is prevented when the screw () is tightened.

A threaded element () is provided having at least two slots (), notches, grooves or the like that intersect the thread (). The slots (), notches, grooves or the like are configured in relation to the thread () so that they intersect the thread () to form a sharp cutting edge on the thread flanks (), thus preventing reverse rotation. The slots, notches or grooves have no more than 25-times the pitch and the same rotational direction as the thread.
