A method for producing a composite rolling bearing () having a bearing flange () and at least one rolling bearing () held on the bearing flange () by an inner ring (). In order to be able to fix the inner ring () on the bearing flange () with axial preloading without expansion, the inner ring () is acted upon by a holding-down device () that radially holds down the inner ring () and is preloaded against the inner ring () by a regulated axial force (F), and, by way of an advancing cone () introduced radially on the inside axially into the bearing flange (), material () present on the bearing flange () is displaced radially towards the outside into a recessed formation () in the inner ring ().

Method for producing a composite rolling bearing

A wheel bearing arrangement of a vehicle axle is disclosed. The wheel bearing arrangement includes a wheel bearing, which contains at least two rolling element rows, for supporting a wheel hub which can be driven by a drive element. The rolling elements of the wheel bearing are guided in races of a stationary outer ring, the rotating wheel hub, and a separate inner ring which is allocated to the wheel hub. In the assembled state, the wheel hub of the wheel bearing arrangement and the drive element are operatively connected via gearing. The inner ring has a radially stepped inner contour, the inner contour having two diameters which differ from one another, and are received in a complementarily designed receiving area of the wheel hub. The position of the inner ring is fixed on the end face by a rolling riveted collar of the wheel hub.

A wheel hub () having a radially extending wheel flange () which has fastening holes (), having a cylindrical projection which extends from the wheel flange () axially on the vehicle side and which serves for at least partially receiving a rolling bearing, and having a centering device which is mounted axially on the wheel side. A high rigidity of the wheel hub () and/or of the wheel bearing unit is realized with little material usage. One possibility arises by the centering device of a wheel hub being regarded as the product of the compromise between rigidity and possible material removal. In this regard, a particular arrangement of the webs that form the centering device is provided which leads to a particularly advantageous solution, specifically by virtue of the webs () being oriented in the same radial direction (A, B) as the fastening holes () of the wheel flange ().

The annular wall section extends through an intermediate region lying between the multi-pole ring and an end face of the sensor head. An inner raceway () having a rolling element raceway facing radially outward, for an angular contact bearing arrangement, and particularly an angular ball bearing arrangement, where a cylindrical surface which is situated at the furthest outward position radially is included as a seal seat. Such inner raceways are used in wheel bearing units, for example, which have an orbital rivet bond, which in turn can also form an end-face gearing (). The face cutting is provided with teeth from a material of the coupling element that has been plastically shaped in an at least partially non-cutting manner.

In summary, the invention relates to a method for forming an end-side toothing arrangement of a roiling bearing, in particular a wheel bearing. The aim is to improve the uniformity of the end-side toothing arrangement and to allow a greater tooth depth. This is achieved by two method steps in that, in a first step before the reshaping of an end piece of a hub, a die is axially arranged on the rolling bearing in a preassembled state and, in a second step during the reshaping of the end piece and the shaping of the end-side toothing arrangement, the die radially delimits a radial recess of the rolling rivet collar as it forms. In addition, the die reduces or prevents radial widening of the inner ring.

A wheel bearing unit which has an outer ring, one or two inner rings and load-transmitting rolling elements arranged between the two rings. An orbitally formed shoulder of a wheel hub is provided for the pre-stressing of the wheel bearing unit via the inner ring, and a toothed ring which has an outward-facing radial tooth system is arranged on the inner ring, as is usual in wheel bearing units with all-wheel drive capability. A mounting device for mounting a driven and/or a drivable wheel of a vehicle. The mounting device makes it possible to measure a drive torque or a drag torque that acts between a wheel and a driveshaft. The torque is transmitted from the driveshaft to the wheel by radial teeth on a bearing inner ring where there is a pressure-sensitive measuring element to measure axial forces as a characteristic of the particular effective torque.
