A device () for braking a conductor. The device () comprises a braking element (), which is able to be put into an operative connection with a conductor guided in a conveying direction of the device (), and a contact pressure element () which is able to put into an operative connection with the conductor guided in the device (). The contact pressure element () is arranged opposite the braking element () and the elements are movable relative to one another. The contact pressure element () is arranged on a brake lever () mounted in a pivotable manner on a pivot pin (). Furthermore, a method for braking the conductor and to a cable processing machine having the device () are also disclosed.

Device and method for braking a conductor

Twisting device for electrical conductors has at least one twisting head that rotates about an axis of rotation and a clamping device. The twisting head is movable in the direction of its axis of rotation toward the clamping device and is mounted on a first, motorized length compensation carriage, while the clamping device is mounted on a travel compensation carriage that is movable towards the length compensation carriage parallel to the axis of rotation of the twisting head. After the conductors have been cut to size and transferred to the twisting head and the clamping device, they are placed under tension. Then, the twisting head is activated to rotate about an axis of rotation parallel to the conductors while simultaneously moving towards the clamping device. Simultaneously, the clamping device is subjected to a force directed away from the twisting head and the travel/force profile for the clamping device is evaluated.

A twist application device, including a feeder () for feeding conductor ends () of at least two conductors (), and a rotatably mounted twist application head () for twisting the conductors (). The twist application device also includes a controller (), connected with a drive () for first clamping jaws () of the feeder (), and is equipped for control of the latter. The distance (a) between clamped conductor ends () is set at an adjustable value before the transfer of the conductor ends () from the feed device () into the twist application head (). A twist application device, including a feeder () for feeding conductor ends () of at least two conductors (), and a rotatably mounted twist application head () for twisting the said conductors (). The twist application device also includes a controller (), connected with a drive () for first clamping jaws () of the feeder (), and is equipped for control of the latter. The first jaws () in a clamping position can be relatively moved so that distance (a) between ends () may be altered. An intermediate space, located between first jaws (), extends, in a direction of movement (A) for altering the distance between clamped ends (), at least twice as far as in a clamping direction (B). Also a method, in which a variable position of the first jaws () is adjusted in accordance with a selected distance (a) between the ends () before clamping of the ends (), and the first jaws () are moved into a prescribed position before the clamping of the ends () in the second jaws () of the further processing device ().

The invention relates to a device for detecting contact of a tool () with an electrical conductor () encased by an electrical insulation (). In order to ensure a reliable, robust and simple display of the tool-conductor contact for potential-free and short cable lengths, the tool () consisting of an electrically conductive material is fastened to a tool holder () made of electrically conductive material. A thin electrical insulation is provided between tool () and tool holder () so that these components together with the coaxial cable form a capacitor (CS). An inductance (La; Lb) is connected parallel to this so that a high-Q LC resonant circuit is formed between tool and tool holder. The electronic circuit arrangement excites the resonant circuit and determines characteristic oscillation parameters of this resonant circuit. Furthermore, for the cable processing tool-conductor contacts can be weighted according to contact time and specific time within the cable processing process and thus quantitative production exclusion criteria are determined.

Device for detecting contact of an electrical conductor by a tool

A winding spindle for mounting a plurality of yarn winding tubes, and which is formed by an inner tube and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The inner tube connects to a drive shaft. Between the inner tube and the outer tube, a clamping device is arranged, which comprises a plurality of clamping elements which extend through openings of the outer tube for mounting the winding tubes. The outer tube extending on the circumference of the inner tube is stayed by a plurality of support members that are arranged in an axially spaced apart relationship between the inner tube and the outer tube. To this end, the support members produce a radially acting clamping force between the inner tube and the outer tube.
