The disclosure relates to a rotary closure including a housing part with an axis to which a rotary knob is attached in order to actuate a tensioning roller for a tensioning element for the rotary closure in order to wind or release the tensioning element. Further, a first gear is connected to the rotary knob and has internal toothing and a second gear is rotationally connected to the tensioning roller and has internal toothing. Additionally, a drive pinion that is coupled to the gears is provided between said first and second gears, and the drive pinion has a mounting that is configured to be radially moved relative to the drive axis in order to selectively couple the pinion to and release the pinion from the internal toothing of the respective first and second gears.

A rotary closure for a shoe, especially for a sports shoe, including a housing which can be attached to the shoe, a tensioning roller which is rotatably supported around an axis in the housing, wherein a tensioning element can be spooled during lacing of the shoe on the tensioning roller and a rotary knob which is arranged rotatable around the axis at the housing to turn the tensioning roller. A shoe, especially a sports shoe, has a sole () for receiving one or more cleats () by means of a molded body () which is arranged on the sole at an angle (&#x3b1;) of between 15&#xb0; and 25&#xb0;, preferably 18&#xb0;, relative to the plane of the sole (S) and which has an opening () for receiving a securing device () which is located on the cleat. The cleat also has a recess which is complementary to the cross-section of the molded body. A golf bag assembly including supporting legs movable between a support position for cooperating with the bag to hold the golf bag assembly in an upright position and a transport position wherein the legs are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bag, a pull member assembly for moving the supporting legs, and an operating member for movement over a dead center position for controlling movement of the supporting legs between the support position and the transport position. A stop member can be provided for selectively allowing or preventing the operating member from assuming a closed position for releasably locking the supporting legs in the transport position. A transmission system for connecting the operating assembly and a pivot assembly for effecting movement of the supporting legs can extend across and through the golf bag so as not to expand the width of the golf bag. A stiffening ring assembly can be provided for incorporating the supporting legs pivot assembly, the operating assembly and the transmission system. Apparatus is also provided for maintaining the golf bag assembly in the support position even upon the application of sidewise forces to the assembly when in the support position.

A snowboard step-in binding having a rotatable soleholder that can be moved between two limit positions and can be opened using an opening lever. In order to ensure a secure lock with the soleholder even with a layer of snow present, but prevent inadvertent opening, a dual-action lever with one arm designed as an opening lever and the other arm designed as a rotating lock is provided. This rotating lock is maintained by forcing two cam surfaces, which extend from a common apex and contain an intermediate rest surface, against a locking bolt by the force of a spring.

A selectively closable and releasable connecting device for connecting a sports shoe and an item of sports equipment, has a baseplate for fixedly mounting to the item of sports equipment and on which the shoe sole can be supported and locked. The shoe being provided with lateral grooves for receiving a pair of locking elements of the connecting device, which lie rigidly and fixedly diametrically opposite each other on the baseplate with respect to a central pivot for the shoe. The device has a second pair of locking elements which likewise lie diametrically opposite one another and are rotatably connected to the baseplate via a gear mechanism having a driving element with a driver which protrudes, with respect to the supporting surface of the baseplate, for activation by the shoe, in the baseplate. The baseplate is further provided with a gear mechanism locking element which locks the gear mechanism in the closed position. The second pair of locking elements selectively rotate, along with the gear mechanism between a shoe-engaging locked position to an unlocked entry/exit position.

A device for connecting a piece of sports equipment, fixedly attached to the equipment, to securely hold a user's foot to the sports equipment having an instep element and a pivotable heel element, which are connected to one another in a manner that they each execute an opposed movement. The instep element is linked to a baseplate attached to the piece of sports equipment with the interconnection of a clamping lever by a connecting link coupled to the clamping lever and further connecting the clamping lever to the heel element forming the toggle joint of a tilting lever that is acted upon by a spring, which secures the instep element and heel element in their respective boundary position and counteract a change in position until the extended position of the tilting lever is reached in order to achieve rapid and simple closing and release of the connection between the foot and the piece of sports equipment while avoiding unintentional release during sports activity.

Shoe closure

A shoe closure mechanism having a rolling disk which lies on a bottom wall of a housing part, with the rolling disk being a flat, narrow ring whose inner face forms an inner gearing and whose outer face forms a rotatable guide path with the inner wall of a peripheral edge of the housing part. Furthermore, an eccentric driving disk lies on the bottom wall of the housing part within the rolling disk in the same plane with it. A cable pulley lies on the rolling disk and the eccentric driving disk, and it engages with drive pegs in circular openings of the eccentric driving disk and rotates on a section of an axle unit. The driving disk has a central hole which receives an eccentric driving peg that projects axially from the axle unit into a central opening of the driving disk. A bearing peg projects from the eccentric driving peg centrally with respect to the axis of rotation into a bearing hole of the housing part, and a driving projection projects from the axle unit, on the side opposite the eccentric driving peg and the bearing peg, into a hole of a rotating element that closes the top of the housing part. The driving projection is rigidly coupled with the rotating element. At least one opening that aligns with recesses of the rolling disk is provided in the housing part, and a fixing pin of a spring clip removably engages in the opening.

A safety ski binding comprised of first and second jaw units for retaining a ski boot on the ski. The first jaw unit includes a contact switch, which will be actuated in response to predetermined forces which are transmitted from the ski boot to the first unit, the forces being transmitted in at least two planes which are at right angles to each other. The first jaw unit includes an axle mounted to a base plate, a cam surface on the axle, a boot holder mounted on the axle for rotational axial movement thereon, a first spring operable to bias the boot holder into rotation about the axle, a second spring disposed between the axle and the boot holder operable to bias the boot holder to a central position on the axle, a pin which is parallel to the transverse axle and held on the base plate, and a control lever rotatably and axially movable on the pin controlling a release mechanism for holding the ski boot on the ski. The control lever has a first lever end engaging a cam surface on the axle and a second end operative to engage the boot holder wherein the boot holder engages the second lever end that imparts rotational movement to the control lever when the boot holder moves from a first boot holding position toward a second boot release position. The control lever is arranged to move axially with the soleholder as the soleholder moves along the axle wherein the first lever end moves along a cam surface which imparts rotational movement to the control lever.
