The invention relates to an air volume flow and pushing force control device for a vacuum cleaner that has at least a motor, a dust receptacle and a suction nozzle, comprising a controller for controlling the motor power, a first sensor for detecting the air volume flow, which in conjunction with the controller forms a first control loop in order to maintain the air volume flow at a prescribed air volume flow value on the basis of the signal of the first sensor. The control device further comprises a second sensor for detecting a pushing force that is required for pushing the suction nozzle, and in conjunction with the controller, forms a second control loop in order to maintain the pushing force below a prescribed value on the basis of the signal of the second sensor, and a control loop selection device that activates one of the two control loops as a function of the signals of the two sensors.

Air volume flow and pushing force control device

An actuating element mounted on an electrical appliance for pivotal movement about a pivoting axis in the switching direction of a switch, in order to switch a function of the electrical appliance by actuating the switch, and comprises a slide with an actuating surface that is guided along a slide path provided on the actuating element to adjust an operating parameter. An operating rocker/slide is provided enabling uniform forces introduced into the operating rocker during displacement of the slide. The actuating element includes the slide path and the pivoting axis extending substantially parallel to each other. The parallel orientation of the pivoting axis and the slide path enables the same length of lever arm to be obtained in relation to the pivoting axis of the actuating element, in each position of the slide, during the introduction of forces into the actuating surface of the slide.

According to the invention, the contamination of the accessory pieces by dust from the dust chamber may be prevented, whilst maintaining easy access to the accessory pieces by means of the dust chamber lid, whereby the housing is embodied as an adjoining chamber, directly adjacent to the dust chamber which is separated from the dust chamber in a dust-tight manner by means of a separating wall. The above has the advantage of permitting a user to remove an accessory piece without getting dirty.

A vacuum cleaner comprising a housing containing a housing part for receiving components of electrical appliances, and a dust compartment which can be closed by a dust compartment cover that is mounted in such a way that it can pivot between a position wherein the dust compartment is closed and a position wherein the dust compartment is opened. Said cover is provided with a socket for the electrical supply of additional appliances, said socket being connected to an electrical line leading out of the housing part. The aim of the invention is to ensure the operating safety of the inventive vacuum cleaner over a very long period of time. To this end, the housing is provided with a compartment for automatically inserting a section of the electrical line during the pivoting of the dust compartment cover from the opening position to the closing position.

A filter stop for a vacuum cleaner contains a dust chamber that is closable with a lid and receives a dust bag with a reinforcement plate in a specific fitting position. The filter stop has a base plate that is movable between two stopping positions parallel to the direction in which the reinforcement plate of the dust bag is inserted into the dust chamber. The filter stop is also provided with a swiveling lever that can be brought into a position activating the vacuuming function of the vacuum cleaner by the reinforcement plate when the dust bag is correctly positioned. The swiveling lever is in a position preventing the vacuuming function from being activated when the dust bag is not correctly positioned. The filter stop can be brought into a stop position activating the vacuuming function exclusively when the swiveling lever is actuated by a shoulder of the reinforcement plate.

A vacuum cleaner includes a housing and at least one running roller operatively connected to the housing. The roller has a hub, a running ring, a wall connecting the running ring and the hub. The wall has two side surfaces and a curved cross-section between the running ring and the hub. The roller has at least one reinforcing rib extending at least from one of the two side surfaces of the wall and being in contact with neither the hub nor the running ring in a non-loaded state of the running roller. The roller forms an elastic caster with a nave and a bearing race. The nave and the bearing race are connected to another by an S or Z-shaped curved wall. A hydrodynamic coupling device is provided including a housing, a lock up clutch, a friction surface mechanism, a fluid duct and three connecting ducts. The lock up clutch has a clutch element arranged in the housing and may be pressed against the housing. The friction surface mechanism is arranged between the clutch element and the housing. The clutch element and the friction surface mechanism separate an interior of the hydrodynamic coupling device into a first fluid space and a second fluid space. The fluid duct means is in the friction surface mechanism and permits the working fluid to flow into and out of the first fluid space while preventing the working fluid from flowing out of the first fluid space into the second fluid space. The connecting ducts are in the fluid duct, with the first connecting duct is capable of permitting flow of the working fluid to the first fluid space, the second connecting duct is capable of permitting flow of the working fluid into and out of the second fluid space. The third connecting duct is capable of circulating the working fluid within the first fluid space before permitting the working fluid to flow out of the first fluid space, at least when the clutch element is pressed up to the housing with the friction surface arrangement interposed between them.

A hydrodynamic coupling device having a housing which is, or can be, filled with hydraulic fluid, a turbine wheel which is rotatably arranged in the housing and is, or can be, connected to an output shaft for joint rotation, and a sliding bearing arrangement which the turbine wheel is rotatably mounted relative to the housing, and which has a hydraulic fluid channel arrangement for the passage of hydraulic fluid from radially outside to radially inside relative to the region of the output shaft, or vice versa. A hub arrangement for a hydrodynamic torque converter includes a first hub component forming a first hub area with a first connection area connectable with a converter housing of the torque converter, a second hub component forming a second hub area with a second connection area connectable with a lockup clutch of the torque converter, and a fluid channel arrangement having at least one fluid channel connecting a radial inner area of the hub arrangement with a radial outer area. The first hub component and the second hub component contact one another at least in some areas in surface regions thereof which are located opposite one another. A recess arrangement is arranged in at least one of the oppositely located surface regions of the first and second hub components for forming the fluid channel arrangement.

A hydrodynamic torque converter includes a converter casing with a support connected on the drive side of the casing. The support includes a receptacle for receiving a connecting element for fastening the converter casing to a component of a drive. A bridge coupling on a hydrodynamic torque converter is embodied with an axially movable piston arranged on a radial bearing. In one operating position, the piston can be brought into active connection with a support surface of a radial flange of the converter housing via at least one friction lining. The piston executes its axial movement under the influence of an axially elastic element integrated in the radial bearing and having an elastomer substantially deformable in the axial direction.

Bridge coupling in a torque converter

A lockout clutch on a torque converter includes an axially deflectable piston through which torque can be transmitted from the drive side of the torque converter to its output side. The lockout clutch also has a torsional vibration damper having an input part connected to the piston and an output part connected to the turbine wheel of the torque converter. One of the input part and the output part includes a cover element with control elements for energy storage devices acting on the torsional vibration damper on at least one radial support of the cover element. The control elements are designed to project into the cover element with a depth at which the associated energy storage devices rests on a control element along substantially the extension width in the contact area of the control element. The control elements are also designed to avoid penetration to the axial support at least at the point where the other of the input and output elements engages the energy storage elements. This engagement occurs with substantially axial projections, on which axial securing devices to retain the energy storage devices are provided. The axial projection are designed so that pressurization of the energy storage devices is ensured over their entire width in the axial extension direction of the axial projections.
