The invention relates to a machine, in particular a machine tool () for deep rolling wheelset shafts () for rail vehicle wheelsets with a headstock () and a tailstock () which each have prick punch points () for holding a wheelset shaft () at its respective ends, a device (and) for driving the wheelset shaft (), as well as tools which can be moved in directions (z, x) on the machine tool () for deep rolling lengthwise sections (axle zonesto) of the wheelset shaft (), and clamping and feed devices. The tools consist of several pairs of work rollers (), of which each pair is intended for deep rolling at least one axle zone () of the wheelset shaft ().

Machine for deep-rolling axles

A work roller () is detachably attached to a housing (). The work roller () is positioned on a pin between a pin head () and a lid () allowing it to rotate freely, while the housing () provides a recess () for the deep rolling tool (), a receptacle () for the pin head () and a receptacle () for the lid (). The receptacle () for the pin head () is shaped like a subarea () of a truncated cone and has a concentric collar () around the rotational axis () of the work roller () while the receptacle () for the lid () is shaped like a subarea () of a circular cylinder.

A deep rolling machine has a power unit () attached in a gate () such that the power unit () can be moved in the direction of force exertion (). The power unit () is connected, with articulation, at one end (), via a joint (), to the end () of a shearing arm () of the deep rolling unit (). The free end () of the gate () is fit with a back up roller () that is routed along a curved web (), defined in a gap in the second end () of the shearing arm (). In the closed position of the power unit (), three joints () form a triangle (). One of the joints () points to the rotating joint (). The two shearing arms (and) of the deep rolling unit () are articulately connected to one another at the rotating joint (). Also in the closed position, a crank lever () reaches a limit stop () at the end () of the shearing arm ().

Roller burnishing machine for crankshafts

The invention relates to a method for deep rolling the passes or radii on the transitions between journal and cheeks or flanges of crankshafts by means of a deep rolling device () of a deep rolling machine, said deep rolling device having a lazy tongs-type design. The deep rolling device () has two tongs arms () that are articulated to each other via a pivot joint (). The corresponding outer ends () of the tongs arms () are provided with a deep rolling tool () or a force generator () for generating the deep rolling force. A measuring tape () and a sensor () which are provided on the pivot joint () are used to measure the impression depth of the deep rolling rollers () under the effect of the deep rolling force. A measuring device () mounted on the exterior () of a tongs arm () is used to measure the degree by which the tongs arm () bends under the effect of the deep rolling force.

Procedure for deep rolling crankshafts

A deep rolling roller head includes two housings for the deep rolling of the outer radii or fillets of split-pin crankshaft journals by means of two deep rolling rollers which are pressed into one of the two fillets under a rolling force while the crankshaft rotates around its axis of rotation. The two housings follow at the same time the different movements of the journals and support each other with their insides across from each other on a bearing plate. The insides of the housings bear on either side of the axis of rotation of the crankshaft and at a distance from it on an extension segment extending in the direction of the rolling force to below a contact point between the deep rolling rollers and the fillets to be deep-rolled. The bearing plate connected permanently to the inside and the extensions of one of the two housings.

Roll-hardening machine for crankshafts

A machine for hard-rolling a workpiece such as a crankshaft includes a drive apparatus (7) for rotating the crankshaft (8, 113), suspension apparatuses (9 to 17), hard-rolling devices (18 to 26, 111) movably supported by the suspension apparatuses, and a crankshaft transport apparatus (100). Each hard rolling device is a scissors jaw including two scissors arms (46, 47, 114, 115), with respective hardening roller heads (66 to 69, 118) and respective opposite counter-support heads (74, 119) mounted on the upper ends of the scissors arms facing the crankshaft. Each suspension apparatus (9 to 17) is slidably adjustable along the rotation axis (27) of the drive apparatus (7). A drive arrangement (49, 122) is connected to the lower ends of the scissors arms directed away from the crankshaft, for closing and opening the scissors arms to a maximum opening width (59, 130) that is larger than twice the maximum structural radius (60, 131) of the crankshaft. A respective angled bellcrank lever (78) is pivotally supported on each suspension apparatus, with one shank thereof pivotally connected to one scissors arm and the other shank thereof connected to a piston cylinder unit (84), which in turn is connected to the suspension apparatus (9 to 17). Guide members (88, 89) are provided for guiding the upper ends of the scissors arms.
