A wheel bearing assembly, preferably for trucks, includes a wheel adapter and a bearing unit, which has at least one first bearing ring and one second bearing ring, and a drive element. The wheel adapter is configured to connect the first bearing ring to a wheel, the first bearing ring preferably having at least one threaded bore to interact with at least one corresponding attachment means, preferably a screw, in order to connect the wheel adapter and the drive element to the first bearing ring. At least one rotation-securing element is provided that is configured to secure the connection between the wheel adapter and/or the drive element and/or the first bearing ring and/or the attachment means against rotation.

A rolling-element bearing cage includes a plurality of pockets each configured to receive a rolling element, and retaining elements associated with each of the plurality of pockets, each of the retaining elements being configured to secure the rolling elements against falling out of the pockets in a radially inward direction while permitting the rolling elements to be inserted into the pockets in a radially outward direction.

A bearing assembly includes two rolling-element bearings having inner and outer rings and rolling elements between the rings, the rolling-element bearings being configured to be axially preloaded, at least one of the inner and outer rings including an axially adjustable flange ring forming a flange for the rolling elements, the flange ring having a first section axially slidably mounted on one of the bearing rings and a second section axially adjacent to the first section, the second section including a thread, and the thread being configured to threadably engage a counterthread of a separate component at a location axially spaced from the bearing ring.

A crankshaft or connecting-rod bearing assembly of an internal combustion engine includes a bearing journal configured to function as a bearing inner ring, and a bearing outer ring surrounds the bearing journal. At least one row of rolling elements is disposed between the bearing journal and the bearing outer ring, the rolling elements are held by a cage, and the cage includes at least two cage segments, each of which extends around a circumferential section of the bearing journal. A bearing assembly includes at least one outer ring and an inner ring unit including first and second inner rings, the inner ring unit having a central, axial bore extending through the first and second inner rings, and a plurality of attachment bores for attaching the bearing assembly to a bearing carrier. A first plurality of roller bodies is disposed between the at least one outer ring and the first inner ring and a second plurality of roller bodies is disposed between the at least one outer ring and the second inner ring. A pin extends through the central axial bore of the first inner ring and through the central axial bore of the second inner ring, and the pin maintains a predetermined preload on the bearing assembly by holding the first inner ring in a fixed position relative to the second inner ring.

A method for forming a clamping device comprising of a swiveling body made of plastic, a plain bearing bushing mounted radially inside the plastic swiveling body, a rolling bearing for mounting a clamping roll arranged eccentrically to the bearing bushing, the edges of the plain bearing bushing being wound out of a strip, and joined to each other under intrinsic tension in the area of the butt joint; and, wherein, the lateral surface of the plain bearing bushing and the bore surface of the rolling bearing function as parts of a mold for the injection-molding of the swiveling body and consisting of the steps of placing the rolling bearing assembly and a plain bearing bushing in a mold half in eccentric relation to one another, placing a second mold half over the plain bearing bushing and rolling bearing configured to form ring-shaped projections to hold rolling bearing in a predetermined axial position relating to the bearing bushing, and injecting a plastic material with the mold closed to form the swivel body.

Belt tensioner device and method for making same

A support body used in a tensioning device includes a support element and a bottom plate. The support element is attached to the bottom plate in a radially and axially form-fitting and fixed manner through use of a plastic element that is molded into place by extrusion. The plastic element engages a groove formed in the outer surface of the support element and also engages through holes formed in the bottom plate.

A tension roll includes a rolling bearing protected by a sealing disk and having an outer ring possessing an end face and a bore surface, and an injection molded plastic roller shell arranged on the outer ring of the rolling bearing. An arrangement for fixing a tubular element, such as a shaft, that is provided with a bore and a flange in position with respect to plate element involves the use of a ball that pressed into the bore in the tubular element. To achieve a simple fixation that is secure in both axial directions, the plate element is fixed on one side by the flange of the tubular element and on the other side by the bulge that is created through insertion of the ball into the bore in the tubular element. The ball has a greater diameter than that of the bore in the tubular element so that insertion of the ball into the bore causes the tubular element to become enlarged, thus forming the bulge.
