A method is disclosed for handling connections between a wireless device () and a first wireless network node (), of a serving network () in a wireless communications network (). The wireless device () is connected to the first WNN (). The wireless communications network () further comprises a neighbor network () comprising a second WNN (). The method comprises obtaining () a roaming priority indication, RPI, associated with the wireless device (), indicating that the wireless device () has a higher priority for transfer of its network connection than another WD without priority. The method comprises obtaining () information that the neighbor network () is a network to which the RPI applies, and obtaining () measurements related to at least one the connection between the WD () and the first WNN (), and a wireless communications link between the WD () and the second WNN (), and, based on the obtained measurements, the obtained information and the RPI, initiating () a transfer of the WD's () network connection from the first WNN () to the second WNN ().

Method and apparatus for handling connections between wireless network nodes and wireless devices

Embodiments of a method performed by a radio access node for network scheduled User Equipment (UE) transition to connected mode and corresponding embodiments of a radio access node are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a radio access node comprises receiving: (a) a notification request from an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) to retrieve reachability information for a UE or (b) downlink data to be communicated to the UE. The method further comprises, upon receiving either (a) or (b), determining that the UE is in an inactive state and is currently unreachable. The method further comprises sending information to the AMF that notifies the AMF that the UE is currently unreachable. The information comprises information that indicates that RAN paging of the UE is scheduled or scheduling assistance information. Embodiments of method performed by an AMF and corresponding embodiments of an AMF are also disclosed.

Apparatuses and methods for network scheduled UE transition to CM-connected/RRC connected mode in 5GS

The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a SMF, for handling local breakout of traffic. The SMF receives, from a PCF, policy information indicating traffic that should be routed via a second UPF to a second DN. The SMF provides, to a first UPF, a first traffic detection filter for detecting the traffic indicated in the received policy information. The SMF detects that there is traffic matching the first traffic detection filter. The SMF sets up, according to the policy information, a local breakout to the second UPF when the matching traffic has been detected. The setting-up comprises setting-up the second UPF.

A method, device, and computer program product for facilitating device-to-device, D2D, communication among wireless communication devices, WCDs, is provided. The device is a first WCD that receives a wireless packet broadcasted by a second WCD.
