A guide rail, for use with a guide carriage having at least one row of rolling elements, extends along a longitudinal axis and has at least one running surface for the rolling elements, a separate heat sink, and a plurality of first through holes. The running surface is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis. The heat sink extends along the longitudinal axis and lies against the guide rail. At least sections of the heat sink delimit a first and a second cooling channel that each extend along the longitudinal axis. The first through holes are distributed along the longitudinal axis and are configured to receive screw-bolts. The heat sink has a plurality of second through holes, each aligning with and continuing an associated first through hole. The first and second cooling channels are located on opposite sides of the plurality of second through holes.

A linear guide device has a guide rail extending in a guiding direction, a guide carriage guided on the guide rail by at least one roll body revolving mechanism in the guiding direction. The at least one roll body revolving mechanism includes a revolving passage and a plurality of roll bodies which revolve in the revolving passage. The revolving passage has a running passage which is limited by a roll body running path formed on the guide rail and by a load-receiving wall portion of the guide car a return passage, and two deviating passages which connect the running passage with the return passage and in which the roll bodies are substantially load free. The guide carriage has a base unit and at least one revolving component group, the revolving component group having at least one lower wall portion of a wall which limits the return passage and at least one lower wall portion of a wall which limits the deviating passages. A screw drive with rolling elements, optionally a ball screw drive, includes a screw spindle with a spindle axis and a double nut running on the screw spindle, with two separately formed single nuts which are substantially rigidly joined in the direction of the axis of the spindle. In order to set a desired play or bias relative to the screw spindle, the two single nuts can be turned continuously about the axis of the spindle relative to each other and fixed in any relative rotary position corresponding to the desired play or bias. According to the invention, a first of the two single nuts or an intermediate element joined thereto and arranged between the two single nuts has at least one peripheral section pressed into an associated aperture in one of the single nuts. In one embodiment, the intermediate element is an annular disk that is arranged orthogonally to the spindle axis.
