The invention relates to an apparatus for finding a parked vehicle again. According to the invention, a portable unit is provided with a pressure sensor whose signals can be evaluated by an evaluation and control unit in order to determine the current air pressure, with the evaluation and control unit evaluating the determined air pressure in order to determine altitude, and storing a first air pressure value as a reference value at a predeterminable first time, which reference value represents an instantaneous altitude of a geographic position of the parked vehicle, with the evaluation and control unit estimating a height difference between a current geographic position of the portable unit and the geographic position of the parked vehicle at a second time, and/or continuously from a pressure difference between the determined current air pressure value and the reference value.

A module having an angle-sensor mechanism, an energy-transmission device and an information-transmission device comprises at least two circuit boards ( ). One circuit board ( ) forms the stator with respect to the angle-sensor mechanism, while the other board ( ) forms the rotor with respect to the mechanism. The stator includes the primary coil for the angle-sensor mechanism, as well as an exciting coil for the transmission of energy and information. The rotor includes the secondary coil of the angle-sensor mechanism, as well as a receiver coil, for the transmission of energy and information. The exciting coil and the receiver coil are disposed in circular fashion on the respective circuit board, thereby creating a coupling for the exciting coil and the receiver coil that is independent of the angle. The exciting coil and the receiver coil are used for transmitting both energy and information. The energy transmission is typically effected with a medium frequency of, for example, 25 kHz. A modulation is superposed on this medium frequency for transmitting information. Various modulation methods are feasible, such as HF (high-frequency) modulation, amplitude modulation or phase modulation.

An arrangement with a torque-controlled gearbox, for which the torque present on the transmission driving shaft is measured with a non-contacting torque sensor and the torque sensor supplies a measuring signal, which is fed to the gear control unit as a variable for the correct shifting moment. With a motor vehicle having an internal combustion engine, the drive output of the combustion engine is transmitted to the crankshaft, and the torque present at the crankshaft is transmitted via a clutch and an intermediate gear to the transmission drive shaft, from there to an output drive shaft, and finally via a differential gear to the drive wheels of the motor vehicle. The torque sensor detects the torque actually present at the transmission drive shaft and feeds the measuring signal proportional to this torque to a gear control unit. The arrangement advantageously permits a torque-free shifting of gears in the gearbox, which can thus be carried out comfortably.
