A sensor device has a clock generator, a counter, an exciter device, a sensor element and an evaluation device, and outputs a sensor signal in response to a request signal having alternating leading and trailing edges. The counter reading is incremented differently, depending on whether the request signal has a leading/trailing edge between two successive leading or trailing edges of the clock signal. If the request signal has such a leading/trailing edge the counter corrects the counter reading. The value of the excitation signal outputted by the exciter device depends on the counter reading or a value derived therefrom. The sensor element outputs based on the excitation signal a raw signal, which is supplied to the evaluation device. The evaluation device determines based on this information whether to acquire the raw signal and how to take the raw signal into account when establishing the sensor signal.

Sensor device with synchronization of a sensor signal with a request signal

An electric machine includes a first active part, which has a plurality of active part segments disposed one behind the other in a direction of movement of the electric machine, with each of the active part segments including a position measuring device, and a second active part with a measuring device for identifying the respective position measuring device. Each position measuring device has at least one position measuring unit having a dielectric constant, wherein the dielectric constant of the position measuring unit in one of the active part segments is different than the dielectric constant in an adjacent one of the active part segments. The measuring device includes at least one measuring unit to determine the dielectric constant of the position measuring units.

Electric machine

A measurement system for finding the position of a primary part of a linear motor with respect to a secondary part includes an absolute value measurement system for recording a first reference position of the primary part with respect to the secondary part, and an incremental measurement system for recording a fine position of the secondary part relative to the first reference position recorded by the absolute measurement system. The absolute value measurement system includes at least one RFID reader and at least one first RFID tag which is identifiable by the RFID reader, with the first RFID tag intended to identify the first reference position.

Position transmitter system

A control arrangement for an electric drive with a control which processes desired values and actual values of the electric drive in relation to a desired-actual control is provided. A determination device determines a derived variable in an iterative manner in accordance with the actual values and the derived variable is fed to an evaluation device. The evaluation device associates the derived variables with position values of the drive and determines, after accumulating several derived variables, characteristic values of a systematic error in the desired values and/or the actual values. In accordance with the determined characteristic values, the evaluation device determines correction values and switches the correction values to the desired values, the actual values or the difference of desired and actual values.

Control arrangement with correction means for systematic position-dependent errors

In a method for monitoring a measurement system having a transmitter which determines the position of a moveable element and has a transmitter clock, and an electrical energy store which, in the event of a failure of an external electrical supply voltage for the transmitter, continues to supply electrical power to at least a part of the transmitter, including the transmitter clock. After the external electrical supply voltage has been restored, the clock time of the transmitter clock is compared with a clock time of an external clock, and an incorrectly determined position is identified on the basis of the comparison of the clock times.

Measurement system and method for monitoring the measurement system

A measurement system has a transmitter for determining the position of a movable element, and a first energy store which, in the event of failure of an external electrical supply unit of the transmitter, supplies at least a part of the transmitter with electrical power such that a stored count of the transmitter is maintained in the event of failure of the external electrical supply voltage. The first energy store produces a first auxiliary supply voltage, wherein a first data item is stored in the transmitter when a reference mark of the transmitter is detected for the first time. The first data item is deleted in the event of failure of the external electrical supply voltage for the transmitter and failure of the first auxiliary supply voltage for the transmitter. As a result, an incorrectly determined position resulting from a failure of the electrical power supply for the transmitter can be identified.

Measurement system and method for monitoring a measurement system

A measuring device for determining a position and/or a speed includes a scale having marks arranged at spacings from one another, and a scanning head, with the scale and the scanning head being arranged for movement relative to one another along a movement direction. The scanning head is constructed to determine a first spacing of the scanning head in the movement direction relative to a first one of the marks, and a second spacing of the scanning head in the movement direction relative to a second one of the marks, with the position and/or the speed being determined on the basis of the first spacing and the second spacing.

Measuring device for determining a position and/or a speed

The aim of the invention is to create an inexpensive sensor system for a movable electric machine in order to determine positions, the sensor signal featuring zero crossings. Said aim is achieved by a sensor device () comprising a U-shaped yoke () and a sensor () which is disposed in/on the yoke () to detect a magnetic variable, for example. Magnets (to) that are or can be inversely magnetized are arranged at a free end of the yoke (). Sensor device for an electric machine

A measuring element with a circular or linear track that encompasses a material measure and a number of sensors for scanning the track is disclosed. At least two scanning heads having the sensors are provided for scanning the track. The track of the measuring element has at least one first and a second partial track which are each provided with a first and a second grating period. For each grating period, one of the scanning heads is equipped with a sensor array that is adjusted to the grating period.

The invention relates to a measuring apparatus comprising a sensing head () for determining the position of a primary part () on a secondary part. The sensing head () is fixedly connected to a primary part () or is integrated therein while the primary part () and the secondary part form a linear motor (). Furthermore, the secondary part is embodied as a rack () which is provided at least with ferromagnetic material and preferably equidistant teeth () in a preferred direction (), said teeth () containing at least ferromagnetic material. The sensing head () can be moved in the preferred direction () and opposite thereto. An air gap is located between the sensing head () and the rack () while the sensing head () is equipped with at least one sensor (-), by means of which magnetic fields can be measured in order to determine a position.

Measuring device for determining a position between a primary part and a secondary part by magnetic flux measurements

The aim of the invention is to provide a speed control method for reducing current ripple and speed ripple at constant dynamics behavior while reducing the hardware required to a minimum. For this purpose, a control signal, especially a speed deviation (ev) is divided up into at least two signal portions (evhi and evlo). Every one of the at least two signal portions (evhi and evlo) is processed in a different manner. The low-order portion (evlo) can be smoothed by means of a low-pass filter (F). In an adder (Sum) mounted downstream thereof the differently processed signal portions are then added up for further control.

Motor control device and corresponding control method

The invention relates to a method for determining the angular position (theta) of a rotor () pertaining to an electric motor () and comprising a number of pairs of poles. Said method consists of the following steps: a pulse pattern (PMPMPM) with a pulse duration (T) flows through at least one stator coil () of the electric motor (), such that the rotor () does not rotate by more than 90 DEG, divided between the number of pairs of poles, during the pulse duration (T); the angular acceleration (alpha) of the rotor (), caused by the pulse pattern flowing through the at least one stator coil, () is detected; and the angular position (theta) of the rotor () is determined by means of the correlation between the flow through the stator coil () and the angular acceleration (alpha) of the rotor ().

Method and apparatus for determining the rotor position of an electric motor from the electric current and the angular acceleration

Two sensors scan a measuring scale, which can be displaced in relation to the sensors and comprises a plurality of equidistant measuring gradation, and deliver corresponding measuring signals. The measuring signals are periodic during a uniform relative displacement of the measuring scale, essentially sinusoidal and essentially phase-shifted by 90&#xb0; in relation to one another. They have an essentially identical amplitude and a base frequency that corresponds to the relative displacement of the measuring scale. During a delivery period of measuring signals, the measuring scale carries out a relative displacement through one measuring gradation. Corrected signals are determined from the measuring signals using correction values. A signal of the position of the measuring scale in relation to the sensors is determined in turn using said correction signals. Fourier coefficients are determined in relation to the base frequency for the corrected signals or for at least one supplementary signal that is derived from the corrected signals, said coefficients being used in turn to update the correction values. Said correction values contain two shift correction values at least one amplitude correction value and at least one phase correction value for the measuring signals, or part of said values, in addition to at least one correction value for at least one higher frequency wave of the measuring signals.

Determination method for a position signal

A low-wear sensor with little structural outlay to detect a combined linear and rotational movement, such as in a print roller (). In one embodiment, a PLCD (Permanent Magnetic Linear contactless Displacement) sensor includes a magnet () which can be rotated about a longitudinally extended coil (). A ring magnet is particularly suitable for this. The linear position of the ring magnet can be determined independently of its rotational movement () by means of the voltage induced in coils (). Detection of the linear position is contactless and thus wear-free.

Position sensor and corresponding method for detecting the position of a rotating element

A highly simply technical transmitter system for a Ferraris movement transmitter, wherein several magnetic field generators (M,M,M) form at least one magnetic circuit with a moveable, non-magnetic electrically conducting rotating measuring body and speed-dependent or acceleration-dependent output signals can be generated by means of magnetic field sensors coupled thereto, embodied in such a way that a preferably cylindrical device shaft (W,W,W) is provided as a measuring body.
