A membrane for a cover for closing a container having the general form of a cylinder and being compressible in the direction of the axis of the cylinder. The membrane comprises two mutually parallel, generally flat parts arranged to move axially in relation to each other guided in the movement by guiding elements; resilient element arranged to generate a counterforce between the flat parts during compression of the membrane in the direction of the axis; at least a first and a second electrical contact device operated by the axial movement between the circular parts, the combined electrical settings of which contact devices will carry information about the compressions and decompressions of the membrane and elements for presenting the settings to the outside of the membrane. A cover comprising such a membrane and use thereof are also described.

A method is proposed which serves to control the focusing of a light beam, aimed at a rotating recording medium (,) for reading data, of a scanner (,) onto the recording medium (,) and the guidance of the light beam along the data tracks of the recording medium (,), each by means of a respective control circuit. The scanner (,) and the recording medium (,) are mounted on a fundamental substrate (,) in at least one housing (,), and the at least one housing (,), together with the fundamental substrate (,), the scanner (,) and the recording medium (,), forms a coupled mechanical oscillator, which is vibrated as a function of a vibration spectrum (,); the scanner (,) is accelerated by the vibration and a relative motion of the recording medium (,) with respect to the scanner (,) is effected, and the amplitudes of the relative motion and the accelerations have a frequency response. The masses, spring constants and damping values of the scanner (,), the recording medium (,), the fundamental substrate (,), and the at least one housing (,) are selected such that the frequencies at which the amplitudes of the relative motion of the recording medium (,) relative to the scanner (,) and the accelerations acting on the scanner (,) are maximal are located in a frequency band of the respective control circuit in which an amplification is performed, and the maximum values of the amplitudes in that frequency band do not exceed a predetermined value.

Method of regulating the focusing and guiding of a light beam

A device for regulating a light width of headlights of motor vehicles comprises an adjusting device associated with one of the headlights, a transmitter which emits electromagnetic radiation to illuminate a region of a roadway located in front of the motor vehicle, an opto-electronic sensor which determines radiation emitted by the transmitter and reflected by the roadway and in dependence on the detected radiation produces signals, an evaluating device which processes the produced signals and controls the adjusting device for maintaining constant a light width of a beam emitted by the headlights. The transmitter in addition to the light beam of the headlight emits radiation and follows an adjustment of the light width of the light beam emitted by the headlights which is provided by the adjusting device, so that the region irradiated by the radiation emitted by the transmitter on the roadway has a small extension and with a correctly adjusted light width of the light beam emitted by the headlights is arranged at a predetermined distance from the motor vehicle, the evaluating device determining from the signals of the sensor a deviation of an actual distance of the region in front of the motor vehicle and when a deviation is detected controls the adjusting device for adjusting the predetermined distance.

Device for regulating light width of headlights of motor vehicles

The angular speed measuring device has two acceleration sensors mounted on a circular plate rotating about a first rotation axis and each sensor generates a signal depending on a Coriolis force produced when it rotates about two additional rotation axes. The rotation axes are orthogonal and the acceleration sensors are at least partially made of silicon and displaced by 180.degree. on the planar plate. An initial signal processing device is mounted directly on a circular planar plate on which the acceleration sensors are mounted. A light emitting diode is used to transmit the signals from the initial signal processing circuit to a signal processing circuit off the planar plate via a photodiode receiving device.

Compensation scale for measuring the weight or mass of an object

A color television camera has a semiconductor image sensor composed of sensor elements of the CCD type arranged in a raster. The charges produced in the sensor elements within an integration interval are read out as video signals. The image on the semiconductor image sensor is shifted in the horizontal direction by a fraction of a raster unit of measurement from one integration interval to the next integration interval in a cyclical fashion. An increase of the resolution in the vertical direction will then result by reading out the video signals from the semiconductor image sensor. The horizontal image shift is produced in the optical path between the objective lens of the image sensor by means of filter disk mounted so as to be bistable. The filter disk can thereby be flipped through a predetermined angle and back between integration intervals of the image sensor.

The suspension of movable system instruments, for example, a galvanometer, introduces elastic reset torques upon deflection. To compensate for such torques and render the apparatus essentially independent of the deflection torques, an opto-electronic device provides an output signal representative of the deflection which is combined with the deflection voltage applied to the galvanometer to at least in part compensate for the reset torque introduced by the moving system suspension.
