A sorption heat exchanger module having a housing, in which a sorption heat exchanger through which a working medium flows is disposed, in which module a housing wall is configured as a heat exchanger structure. In the case of a sorption heat exchanger module in which the presence of passive thermal surfaces is reduced, at least one pipe structure through which a coolant flows is thermally connected with an outside and/or an inside of the housing wall.

Sorption heat exchanger module, preferably for a motor vehicle

A sorption module for a sorption temperature-control device may include a housing enclosing a working chamber. A sorption zone and a phase change zone may be arranged in the working chamber where a working medium is displaceable reversibly between the sorption zone and the phase change zone. A sorption structure may be arranged in the sorption zone, and a phase change structure may be arranged in the phase change zone. An outer wall of the housing may include a double-walled section that may provide a cavity between an outer wall part and an inner wall part of the double-walled section, and the phase change zone may be arranged on an inner side of the inner wall part.

Sorption module

A valve for an adsorption heat pump may be adjustable between a closed position, a first open position, a second open position, and at least one intermediate position. The valve may include a first channel, a second channel, a third channel, a first valve unit, a second valve unit, and a spring element providing a closing force upon the first valve body and the second valve body. The valve may also include an actuating drive configured to hold the valve in position without power. The actuating drive may include a stepping motor and a gear unit constructed and arranged to hold the valve in position via a currentless holding moment. The first valve unit and the second valve unit may have a valve opening characteristic of a flow coefficient dependent on an adjustment path that is not linear. The valve opening characteristic may include at least one flat region.

Valve for an adsorption heat pump and use of the valve in an adsorption heat pump

An adsorption heat pump may include a high temperature circuit for a high temperature heat transfer medium, a medium temperature circuit for a medium temperature heat transfer medium, and at least one sorption module in operative communication with the high temperature circuit and the medium temperature circuit. The at least one sorption module may include a sorption zone, a phase change zone, a working medium, a sorbent which may absorb and desorb the working medium, a first flow channel thermally contacting the sorbent, and a second flow channel thermally contacting the phase change zone. A first valve and a second valve may be in operative communication with the sorption module, the high temperature circuit, and the medium temperature circuit. The first valve and second valve may be configured to move between a closed position, a first open position, a second open position, and at least one intermediate position.

Adsorption heat pump

An evaporator set, preferably for a thermally driven adsorption device. In an evaporator set that can be connected an easily output-scalable modular thermally driven condenser set and, as a result, can be used simultaneously as a heat or cold store, a liquid collector is connected via a blockable expansion valve with an evaporator for cooling a fluid, wherein the liquid collector, the expansion valve and the evaporator form a structural unit, and wherein the liquid collector has a fluid inlet for and the evaporator a fluid outlet to a thermally driven condenser set.

Evaporator set, preferably for a thermally driven adsorption device, and adsorption device

A motor vehicle may include an internal combustion engine and an air-conditioning system, which may include a heat exchanger and a compression refrigeration system. The heat exchanger and the compression refrigeration system may be incorporated into a coolant circuit configured to communicate a coolant flow and may have a pump. The compression refrigeration machine may be driven at least one of directly and indirectly via the internal combustion engine. An adsorption system may be incorporated into the coolant circuit and may be connected to the internal combustion engine in a heat-transferring manner. The adsorption system may be configured to receive a waste heat load from the internal combustion engine for operation. A valve device may be incorporated into the coolant circuit and be switchable between at least two position for distributing the coolant flow between the adsorption system and the compression refrigeration system.

Motor vehicle

A sorption module may include a housing enclosing a working chamber including a sorption zone and a phase change zone arranged therein. The sorption module may also include a sorption structure, which may be arranged in the sorption zone and coupled in a heat-transmitting manner to a sorption path for guiding a sorption path medium, and a phase change structure, which may be arranged in the phase change zone and coupled in a heat-transmitting manner to a phase change path for guiding a phase change path medium. The sorption module may further include a control device configured to control a fluidic connection through which a working medium may be reversibly displaceable between the sorption zone and the phase change zone. The control device may include an actuator configured to control the fluidic connection depending on an adjustment of the actuator and an actuating drive configured to adjust the actuator.

The invention relates to a module for a heat pump, comprising an adsorption-desorption region, wherein in the region a bundle of pipes through which fluid can flow is arranged and a housing encloses the pipe bundle and a movable working medium in a sealing manner, wherein a supporting structure forms a mechanical support of a wall of the housing against the action of an external pressure.

Module for a heat pump

A method and device for cooling and/or heating media, preferably in a motor vehicle, the method in which at least one first heat source is cooled and at least one second heat sink is heated by a thermal management system. In a method in which the heating or cooling can occur on demand, heat and/or cold are shifted by the thermal management system in space and time to the heat sink and/or heat source, which is characterized by need.

A rotary valve for an adsorption heat pump may include a cylindrical valve body, arranged rotatably about a central axis in a predetermined rotation direction with an outer covering and two front plates. A plurality of counter-directional high temperature connections may be arranged on the outer covering for connecting a high temperature heat source. A plurality of counter-directional medium temperature connections may be arranged on the outer covering for connecting a medium temperature heat sink. A plurality of sorption module connections may be arranged on the front plates for connecting a plurality of corresponding sorption modules. A duct system may pass through the valve body for directing a fluid, and a throttle, integrated into the valve body, may be included for constricting a flow cross-section at a throttle site of the duct system. The duct system may include open ducts and closed ducts.

Rotary valve for an absorption heat pump

A thermally driven condenser unit and an adsorption heat plant constructed therewith, which can be used as an adsorption heat pump, adsorption refrigeration plant, heat store and/or refrigeration storage mechanism. The thermally driven condenser unit integrates a thermal compressor and a condenser in a modular component.

The invention relates to a heat pump according to the adsorption principle, comprising a plurality of hollow elements each having an adsorbent, wherein a working medium is enclosed in each of the hollow elements is displaceable between the adsorbent and a phase change area, wherein a heat-transporting fluid in a variable fluid circuit can flow through the hollow elements by means of a valve arrangement. The hollow elements are brought into thermal contact with the fluid in the area of the adsorbent, wherein the flow through the hollow elements changes cyclically with the fluid, wherein at least two of the hollow elements are flown through parallel from the fluid at least in one, in particular each position of the valve arrangement, and at least two of the hollow elements are flown through serially one after the other.

A rotating valve includes an inlet region, an outlet region, and a switching region having a switching member that can be rotated about an axis. In a first position of the switching member the plurality of inlets are connected to the plurality of outlets in a first association, and in a second position of the switching member the plurality of inlets are connected to the plurality of outlets in a second association. The switching member has a plurality of openings through which the fluid flows flow axially in the direction of the rotation axis and are moved together with the switching member. The openings alternately cover a plurality of stationary, axially directed openings in the course of the rotation of the switching member. Different associations of the inlets with the outlets are carried out by the alternating covering of the axially directed openings.
