The invention relates to trims for motor vehicle glazing systems, comprising a base layer and a coating and having glass-like optical properties at least in some subsections, composites consisting of such trims for motor vehicle glazing systems, and car body parts, as well as preferred embodiments which comprise suitable combinations of materials. Said trims comprising, at least towards the front side thereof, an edge rounding having a variable radius which allows a more uniform layer thickness for the coating.

A slatted roof for a motor vehicle comprises a plurality of slats connected to one another in a material-bonded manner. The slats are guided laterally in guide rails by pegs and are moveable between a closed position, in which the slats block an opening in the roof, and an open position, in which the slats are pushed and folded together in one region of the roof. Each slat has two first opposed sides and two second opposed sides, and the slats are connected along the second opposed sides. Each first opposed side includes at least two pegs, wherein, for all slats except for an end slat, two of the pegs on each of the first opposed sides are of different dimensions, and wherein two opposed pegs on the first opposed sides of each slat are of identical dimensions.

Slatted roof for a motor vehicle

A vehicle roof having an opening, a folding arrangement, and a device for receiving the folding arrangement. The folding arrangement has at least two slats made of plastic which are arranged parallel to one another, and the folding arrangement can be retracted, while being folded, into the device in order to at least partially unblock the opening. The folding arrangement closes the opening completely when in the closed position. The slats are curved as a result of bracing when in the closed position and are oriented in a substantially flat and plane-parallel manner when retracted into the device.

The article includes a plurality of honeycomb chambers that are aligned substantially in the same direction, extend in the direction of the extrusion and are disposed adjacent to one another. A method of using the article entails aligning the honeycomb chambers in a direction parallel to the direction of the impact energy.
