A pneumatic switching valve () for systems for lifting and lowering the body of a vehicle including air suspension includes a mechanical actuation element () for adjusting a lifting position, a lowering position, a driving position and a stop position associated with respective positions of the vehicle. An inlet valve (), an outlet valve () and a locking valve () each include a valve body (), a tappet () and a closing spring (). The inlet valve () and the outlet valve () are arranged in one common plane to face in opposite directions. The closing springs () of the inlet valve () and of the outlet valve () also serve to move the actuation element () from the lifting position or from the lowering position to the stop position when the operator releases the actuation element (). Pneumatic switching valve for systems for lifting and lowering the body of vehicles including air suspension

A control system is designed to lift and lower the body of an air-suspended vehicle including an axle and level control. The system includes a source of compressed air, a plurality of air-suspension bellows each being associated with at least one axle and being designed and arranged to adjust a desired distance between the body and the axle, a path sensor being designed and arranged to sense and determine the distance between the body and the axle and to create and deliver a respective electric signal, a switching valve unit having a lifting position, a lowering position, a driving position and a stop position, an electronic control unit being designed and arranged to control the switching valve unit in response to the electric signal delivered by the path sensor, a first conduit branch being located between the source of compressed air and the air-suspension bellows, a second conduit branch being located between the source of compressed air and the air-suspension bellows, at least one level control valve located in the first conduit branch, and at least one locking valve being located in one of the conduit branches and including a spring, the locking valve being designed and arranged to be electrically switched to reach a first position and to be switched by the spring to reach a second position. The first conduit branch is designed and arranged to be activated in the second position, and the second conduit branch being designed and arranged to be activated in the first position.

A compressed air control device for a source of compressed air on motor vehicles, forming a unit of an electro-pneumatic unloader, an integrated electro-pneumatic multi-circuit control valve and an air-drier, comprising an inlet and an outlet provided in a common housing in which a chamber for the passage of compressed air is provided, the chamber being connected to the atmosphere via a controlled outlet valve in form of a safety valve in its opened position, a check valve being positioned downstream of the chamber, a means for alternatingly opening and closing the outlet valve and a plurality of control units of the same kind allocated to the respective circuits, the control units each comprising a check valve closing contrary to the flow direction and a means for controlled opening of the check valve. A mechanical-pneumatic unloader is integrated in addition to the electro-pneumatic unloader, the function of the mechanical-pneumatic unloader being locked in case of the source of compressed air being correctly supplied with power. The mechanical-pneumatic unloader is also designed as an on-off valve for the activation of a regeneration phase of the air-drier after the outlet valve being opened.

A levelling valve is provided for automatically keeping constant the vehicle height of a commercial vehicle with air suspension. The levelling valve comprises a spring loaded double valve body (17), an inlet seat (18), a hollow control rod (20) having an outlet seat (19) for the double valve body (17) and movable toward sealed engagement with the double valve body (17), an actuation drive (6) having a guiding member (27) and an eccentric follower (10) responsive to the change in vehicle height for moving the control rod (20) towards or away from sealing engagement with the double valve body (17). A first vehicle height according to a closing position may be controlled by the actuation drive (6). A control piston (28) is located in a control chamber (31) in alignment with the axis (3) of the control rod (20) and is provided for the attainment for setting of a second vehicle height. The control chamber (31) is located in the guiding member (27) of the actuation drive (6). The control piston (28) is slidingly and sealingly arranged in the guiding member (27) so that the eccentric follower (10) is not loaded by a force acting on the control piston (28) during the adjusted second vehicle height. The control rod (20) is supported on the control piston (28).

A compressed air unloader for unloading compressed air used in the compressed air braking and suspension circuits of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The unloader includes a housing with an internal air chamber, an air inlet for passing compressed air into the air chamber, a compressed air outlet, and a controlled outlet valve in the compressed air outlet for venting compressed air in the air chamber to the atmosphere when the valve is opened. An electronic control unit opens and closes the outlet valve. The air chamber also has an air chamber check valve and a pressure sensor downstream of the check valve. An integral multi-circuit control valve assembly is formed within the housing, the control valve assembly including a plurality of generally identical control and monitor units positioned downstream of the air chamber check valve and the pressure sensor, each of the control and monitor units comprising a control and monitor unit check valve opening against the direction of the air flow therethrough, an overflow valve for passing compressed air from the control and monitor unit, an actuator for operating the overflow valve, and an air pressure sensor positioned downstream of the control and monitor unit check valve.

A leveling valve for the automatic stabilization of the chassis height of a vehicle, especially of a motor vehicle with pneumatic shock absorption, having a valve housing (1) with a spring-loaded double valve body (11), an inlet seat (16) for the double valve body (11), and a hollow valve plunger (25) carrying an outlet seat (26) for the double valve body (1), being movable in the axial direction, and being assigned to a gasket (22) disposed in a groove (21), which may be axially readjusted for the purpose of adjusting the locking position in relation to a supporting element (30) resting on a cam (43) of a shaft (48) that runs transversally to the central axis (2) of the valve plunger (25) and is torsion-proof. The position of the supporting element (30) in relation to the housing (1) may be changed by means of an actuating lever (45) disposed outside of the housing, swiveling and acting on the shaft (38). The housing ( 1) is made of synthetic material and possesses an axially continuous bore hole (3) with a smallest section disposed in the central area and with adjacent stepped sections increasing towards both ends. Further essential structural elements, e.g. the shaft (38) and/or the valve plunger (25) and/or the supporting element (30) etc. consist of synthetic material. The shaft (38) is received in the housing (1) at both sides of the central axis (2) of the valve plunger (25).

Leveling valve

A switch valve (1) connectable on the inlet side to a levelling valve (18) via control line (20) and also electrically activatable, which the positions raise, lower, drive and stop, possesses, on a housing (2), a supply connection (14) for a compressed-air source, an outlet (10) and at least one connection piece (11) for connection to a pneumatic-spring bellows (13), a slide (6) and a hollow double-valve body (24) being switchable in the housing (2) into the four positions via two switch pistons (4, 5) and two solenoid valves (37, 38) preceding these, and an inlet valve (24, 26,) an outlet valve (31, 35;32, 35, etc.) and a shutoff valve (27, 30) for the respective connection and isolation of the lines thereby being formed in the four positions. The hollow double-valve body (24) has a connection piece (21) located on the end face and intended for the control line (20) brought up from the levelling valve (18). The supply connection (14) for the compressed-air source and the conection piece (11) for connection to the pneumatic-spring bellows (13) are arranged between the connection piece (21) located on the end face and the outlet (10).

Switch valve

The leveling valve for air-suspended vehicles is equipped with an intake valve (7,11) located between a connection (2) for a compressed air source and a connection (30) for a switching load valve (32), a discharge valve (7, 25) located between the connection (30) for the switching load valve (32) and a connection to atmosphere. It further comprises a control handle (29) which is turnable dependent on the distance between the vehicle frame and the corresponding vehicle axle and a non-return valve (35) which can also be controlled by the control handle (29) which is placed in series with and ahead of the air suspension bellows (40) and which interrupts further supply of compressed air to the air suspension bellows (40) in the Raise position of the switching load valve (32). The axis of the non-return valve (35) is provided in alignment with the axis of the leveling valve on the other side of the axis of the control handle (29). Both connections (37, 38) to the non-return valve (35) are arranged radially to the axis of the non-return valve. The valve body (56) or the seat (43) of the non-return valve are sealingly guided through the housing (36) and are located so that they can be axially adjusted and set.

Leveling valve with height limit

An arrangement for locking a freight container to a wheeled base in which spring-loaded clamping bolts are located on the base and engage brackets on the freight container with both form and force linkage. Each of the clamping bolts is provided with a locking head and is changeable from a clamping position to a release position by a rotary lifting motion with the use of a grooved curve guide. A pressure-charged spring-loaded piston is rotatable relative to a clamping bolt so that the clamping bolt is axially displaceable on the piston. The grooved curve guide is located between the clamping bolt and the piston, and two opposite power sources apply the relative motion of the clamping bolt and the piston along the grooved curve guide. The two power sources can be actuated independently of one another, and one of the power sources is a pressure chamber located between the clamping bolt and the piston for movement of the clamping bolt into final position of the grooved curve guide, corresponding to the locking and clamping position.

A change-over valve including a housing and a slide sealingly guided therein is provided for use with a two-line trailer brake system having two brake circuits. The slide is retained in a normal position, at which supply tubes leading to compressed air supply tanks for the brake circuits are closed, by a piston loaded with compressed air from a supply tube, but is manually movable to a maneuvering position, at which the brakes of the system are released. The slide is provided with two channels and two associated check valves arranged so that when the slide is in the normal position it closes the supply tubes leading to the compressed air supply tanks for the brake circuits and so that when the slide is in the maneuvering position it connects those supply tubes via its channels and the associated check valves to a common space, which is connected to one or more emergency brake chambers for emergency brake pistons of the trailer brake system.
