Embodiments of a system box for holding a bag system and methods for separating composite liquids are described. In embodiments, a bag system may be a blood bag system used to collect blood, separate the blood into components, store the components, and utilize the components in patients. The system box may hold the blood bag system. Processes can then be performed to separate components from the blood.

Composite liquid bag system holder

A blood bag system includes a BC pooling bag for centrifugation of a buffy coat, a filter for removing white blood cells from a supernatant liquid transferred from the BC pooling bag, a platelet preserving bag for reserving the supernatant liquid that has passed through the filter, a first tube connecting the BC pooling bag and an inlet of the filter, a second tube connecting the platelet preserving bag and an outlet of the filter, and a cassette to be fixed in the centrifugation and separation apparatus. The first tube and the second tube are disposed within the cassette. The cassette includes a first clamp section for closing and opening the first tube, and a second clamp section for closing and opening the second tube.

Blood bag system and cassette

The invention pertains to a cassette () comprising a product conveying path () and a positioning means () engageable with a counter-piece on a centrifuge having a rotor for separating blood components or on a system component () arranged in a centrifuge. The invention pertains to a cassette () comprising a product conveying path () and a shut-off device () integrated into the cassette for interrupting a product flow. The shut-off device is arranged at a rim of the cassette such that the shut-off device () can be directly operated manually and/or mechanically. The invention pertains to a method of connecting at least two containers for enabling a transfer of liquid from one container to the other container, comprising the steps of: a) Depositing a first cassette including at least a first container on a first tray. The first container has a plurality of connecting means. b) Depositing a second cassette including a second container on a second tray. Workstation and method for transfering biological fluid between containers

A cartridge () for accommodating blood bags () to be inserted into a centrifuge is used for the separation of blood components. Said cartridge () is provided with a partition wall () which separates a blood bag section () positioned radially inside from a product section () positioned radially outside, wherein a fixture () for a filter () is provided in the product section (), a product transport path () which leads from the blood bag section () via the fixture () for the filter () to the product section (). Cartridge and centrifuge having a cartridge

The invention relates to a cartridge () for accommodating blood bags (), which is provided for the separation of blood components for the application in a centrifuge. The cartridge () has a partition wall () which separates a blood bag section () positioned radially inside from a product section () positioned radially outside, and a cover () disposed in a mounting position above the blood bag section ().
