A switch cabinet ( ) comprises a case ( ), several modules ( ) and a supporting rail ( ), the modules ( ) being secured on the supporting rail ( ). The disclosed switch cabinet ( ) is characterised in that it is designed in functional blocks and modules, so that all modules ( ) required by a machine and only those modules are mounted in the switch cabinet case ( ).

Switch cabinet

An input/output module (1) with a terminal unit (2) for connection of sensors or actuators with an electronic unit (3) and with a bus connection element (4). The terminal unit (2) has at least one input/output (5) located in a surface thereof and the terminal unit is connected by the electronic unit (3) to the bus connection element (4). To replace the electronic unit (3), the terminal unit (2) can be removed from the electronic unit (3) without the need to remove lines (6) connected to the inputs/outputs (5). The terminal unit (2) is able to be mounted to the electronic unit (3) in each of two positions, the input/output (5) in the two positions lying in planes that are offset relative to each other by 90.degree..

A fiber optics cable waveguide connector for fiber optics cables having an outer casing, a strain relief element, an optical inner casing and an optical waveguide includes a clamping nut having a thread, an outer casing clamping device engageable with the outer casing, an inner sleeve, a strain relief element clamping device engageable with the strain relief element, an optical waveguide clamping device engageable with the optical waveguide, a press-on sleeve having a thread for releasably securing the press-on sleeve and the clamping nut together and for providing a clamping force when the clamping nut and the press-on sleeve are screwed together, a ferrule connected to the press-on sleeve, and a union nut connected to the ferrule. The clamping force arising from the fastening of the clamping nut to the press-on sleeve causes the outer casing clamping device to engage the outer casing, the strain relief element clamping device to engage the strain relief element, and the optical waveguide clamping device to engage the waveguide. Also, the clamping force releasably connects the clamping nut, the outer casing clamping device, the inner sleeve, the strain relief element clamping device, the optical waveguide clamping device, the press-on sleeve, the ferrule and the union nut together to each other.

Connector for optical waveguides

A terminal for at least one fiberoptic cable comprising a housing with a front face having at least one slot therein for receiving an end of a fiberoptic cable, at least one optical transmitter and/or receiver, a fitting element which is movable within the housing by sliding and which has at least one insertion opening for a fiberoptic cable to be joined to the at least one transmitter and/or receiver, and with a cutter which has at least one blade. The at least one insertion opening of the fitting element and an actuating arrangement for sliding of the fitting element between a mounting position for receiving the at least one fiberoptic cable and an operating position in which the at least one fiberoptic cable is joined to the at least one transmitter and/or receiver are at the same side of the housing. The housing is provided with at least one cable duct for discharging cut-off pieces of the at least one fiber optic cable. Additionally, longitudinal ribs can be formed on an inner face of the at least one slot means for relieving strain on a fiberoptic cable pushed into the at least one slot between the longitudinal ribs.
