A device for feeding packaging blanks () to a packaging machine has a magazine with two shafts () mounted at the bottom for supporting the blanks (). The shafts () are brought to rotate at constant speed in opposite directions to each other, hence eliminating the static friction from the bottom of the magazine. An angle is formed between the shafts (), so that a small, forwardly directed force component contributes to the movement of the blanks (). The dynamic friction is used to move blanks () towards a gate () at the end of the magazine, and only a small, constant feeding force (A) from a pusher is necessary for the movement.

Device and a method for feeding packaging blanks

The disclosure relates to an apparatus for conveying and folding flexible packaging material, comprising a conveyor ( ) with a conveyor belt ( ) which is provided with through-going holes and which, for a part of its length, extends substantially rectilinearly and with constant orientation along a suction box ( ). By connecting the suction box ( ) to a source of partial vacuum, a partial vacuum is created at the side of the belt facing towards the packaging material, which ensures that the packaging material is well-fixed and can thereby pass closely adjacent and be heated by a heating device ( ) extending along the belt. The apparatus makes for concentrated, energy-efficient and well-defined heating of an edge region of the packaging material intended for thermosealing.

Apparatus for conveying and folding flexible packaging material

A heating apparatus for heating thermoplastic packaging materials to allow the materials to be heat-sealed, formed, or reformed includes two nozzles which supply heated air to the packaging materials, a suction box which sucks the heated air away from the packaging materials after the air has heated the materials, and a recirculation duct which recirculates the heated air from the suction box back to an intake of the nozzles.

Heating apparatus for packaging materials utilizing heated air

An arrangement for the raising and transferring flattened tubular packing container blanks (2) from a magazine (3) to a conveyor arrangement comprises suction elements (18a and 18b) arranged on arms (15) movable in a curved path away from each other. The placing of the elements is such that the suction elements in a certain position (receiving position) of the arms are directed towards each other so as to allow engagement with, and attachment to, two opposite sides of a flat blank.
