Noninvasive living body measuring apparatuses are described, a representative one of which includes: (a) a light source unit for irradiating a measurement region of a living body; (b) a light-receiving unit for detecting optical information from an irradiated measurement region; (c) a first holding unit for holding the light source unit and the light-receiving unit; (d) a second holding unit for holding the first holding unit so as to be movable; and (e) a mounting unit for mounting the second holding unit onto a living body.

Noninvasive living body measuring apparatuses

The purpose is to fix a portion of a living body, which is an object of measurement, stably without strain and to acquire accurate inspection results with good reproducibility. An apparatus for capturing an image of a living body includes: a base for mounting a portion of a living body to be inspected; two sidewall members capable of holding the mounted portion of the living body therebetween from both sides; a light source section for supplying a light to the portion of the living body held on the base and between the sidewall members; and a light receiving section for detecting optical information from the portion of the living body supplied with the light, and a non-invasive apparatus for living body inspection including the above apparatus for capturing an image of a living body in which the light receiving section includes an image capturing element, and an analyzing section for calculating information on blood flowing through a blood vessel by analyzing an image of a tissue including the blood vessel obtained by the image capturing element.

A compact syringe pump having a high quantitative accuracy and a high durability is provided. The syringe pump comprises a motor, a rotating cylinder, a moving element, a guide means for introducing the moving element in an axial direction of the rotating cylinder, a piston rod disposed on the moving element and a cylinder within which the piston rod moves, wherein the guide means comprises a guide pin extending through the moving element in the axial direction of the rotating cylinder and a pair of upper supporting member and lower supporting member for supporting both ends of the guide pin so that the guide pin becomes in parallel to the axial direction of the rotating cylinder, the upper supporting member rotatably supports the rotating cylinder at an upper end portion of the rotating cylinder and the lower supporting member rotatably supports the rotating cylinder at an upper surface portion of the bottom portion of the rotating cylinder, thereby preventing the rotating cylinder from swinging.

Syringe pump

A reciprocatory dry shaver comprises a stationary cutter, a movable cutter, and a permanent-magnet linear motor having a stator and a reciprocator which is driven by an electric current to reciprocate relative to the stator. The reciprocator carries the movable cutter to reciprocate it in shearing engagement with the stationary cutter. A power circuit is included to provided an electric power to the motor. The shaver includes a detector which detects a displacement of the movable cutter and give an output indicative of the detected displacement of the movable cutter. Also included in the shaver is a controller which varies the electric power being fed to the motor in a feedback manner based upon the output from the speed detector in order to keep an oscillation amplitude of the movable cutter at constant. In this manner, the movable cutter can reciprocate without being jammed even when experiencing a heavy lead during the shaving, thereby avoiding undesired speed reduction of the movable cutter which would result in the lowering of the cutting efficiency. Thus, the reciprocatory dry shaver is capable of keeping a constant oscillation amplitude irrespective of a lead acting on a movable cutter to thereby assure a sharp cut even when the movable cutter experiences a heavy lead during the shaving.

Reciprocatory dry shaver

An air pump includes a housing body containing an electromagnetic drive mechanism for oscillating a pair of diaphragms. The diaphragms define variable volume chambers, the chambers communicating with suction and discharge ports for establishing an air flow in response to diaphragm oscillation. The drive mechanism comprises coils defining an air gap and a permanent magnet type actuator reciprocably mounted in the air gap. The top of the housing body is open to enable the actuator to be visually inspected for proper alignment within the air gap. A cover is installed over the open top of the housing body with the actuator properly installed in the air gap. The cover contains air passages communicating with the suction and discharge ports. The weight of the diaphragm can be altered to achieve a desired resonance frequency tuned to the frequency of the electrical current.

Electromagnetic air pump

A bedsore-preventing air mattress controller provided with an air pump for generating a magnetomotive force in a plurality of stages proportional to the feed air amount of the pump, and with an electric switch for changing over the magnetomotive force of the pump and integrally assembled with an air shut-off valve for discharging and halting air, whereby the controller arrangement is simplified to effectively reduce the required number of parts for lowering manufacturing costs.

A digital time indicating clock with minutes, tens of minutes and hours numeral indicating drums arranged in an array, in which intermittent rotations of the minutes drum as driven by a clock mechanism are transmitted sequentially intermittently to the tens of minutes and hours drums through time numeral shifting-up mechanism which comprising a first pinion being rotatable about a shaft borne in proximity and parallelly to peripheries of the resepctive drums and meshing with gear teeth on a peripheral edge of the minutes drum and first gear teeth on a peripheral edge of the tens of minutes drum and a second pinion being rotatable about the shaft and meshing with second gear teeth on the other peripheral edge of the tens of minutes drum and gear teeth on a peripheral edge of the hours drum.

Digital clock

An alarm device of clocks having snoozing function in which, when a set time is reached in clock mechanism, switching means for alarm sound source is actuated to be ON-state through an actuating lever by a set-time indexing wheel shifted on a shaft being rotated by the clock mechanism. The actuating lever disposed for transmitting the shifted motion of the indexing wheel to the switching means is pivotable respectively in a first plane including axial shifting directions of the wheel and in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane. Pivotal motion of the lever in the first plane followingthe shifted motion of the wheel on the set time causes the switching means to be switched ON, in which state a snoozing means manually operated moves the lever pivotally in the second plane to cause the switching means temporarily to be switched OFF and restrict the lever in this position for a fixed cyclic period after the set time. As long as the lever is in the pivotally moved position in the first plane, repetitive restrictions of the lever in the position moved in the second plane by the snoozing mechanism are also released in the same cycle of the fixed period to repetitively sound the alarm sound source.
