An example additive manufacturing apparatus includes an energy source to melt material to form a component in an additive manufacturing process, a camera aligned with the energy source to obtain image data of the melted material during the additive manufacturing process, and a controller to control the energy source during the additive manufacturing process in response to processing of the image data. The controller adjusts control of the energy source based on a correction determined by: applying an artificial intelligence model to image data captured by a camera during an additive manufacturing process, the image data including an image of a melt pool of the additive manufacturing process; predicting an error in the additive manufacturing process using an output of the artificial intelligence model; and compensating for the error by generating a correction to adjust a configuration of the energy source during the additive manufacturing process.

Systems and method for advanced additive manufacturing

A manufacturing computer device for dynamically adapting additive manufacturing of a part is provided. The manufacturing computer device includes at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device. The at least one memory device stores a build file for building the part including a plurality of geometries that each include one or more values of a first build parameter. The processor is programmed to receive sensor information of a build of the part by a machine, compare the sensor information for each geometry of the plurality of geometries to the corresponding one or more values of the first build parameter, determine one or more values for a second build parameter for each of the geometries based on the one or more differences, and generate an updated build file for the part including the one or more values for the second build parameter.

A manufacturing computer device for dynamically adapting additive manufacturing of a part is configured to store a build file for building the part including one or more build parameters and receive build information. The manufacturing computer device is also configured to compare the sensor information to the one or more build parameters to determine one or more differences. The computer device is further configured to determine one or more adjustments to the one or more build parameters. Moreover, the computer device is configured to generate an updated build file based on the one or more adjustments. In addition, the computer device is further configured to transmit the updated build file to at least one machine of the plurality of machines for manufacture.

An energy generation and storage system includes one or more energy generation assets, one or more energy storage assets, and a system controller. The system controller identifies a plurality of candidate responses to a grid service request. Each candidate response includes a split value that describes a power split between the energy generation assets and the energy storage assets. The system controller determines a plurality of response scores respectively for the plurality of candidate responses based at least in part on a plurality of asset life impact values that describe an impact that the plurality of candidate responses would have on an asset life of at least one of the one or more power generation assets and the one or more energy storage assets. The system controller selects one of the plurality of candidate responses based at least in part on the plurality of response scores.

The controller is configured to determine an estimated value of the at least one operating characteristic of the fluid based on the measured value of the at least one operating characteristic of the multiphase pump and the pump map. A wind turbine includes a rotor, a plurality of rotor blades coupled to the rotor, and a blade pitch control system coupled to each rotor blade. A computer-implemented method for controlling the wind turbine includes determining at least one pitch position for a first blade. The method also includes determining whether there is a malfunction of the blade pitch control system associated with the first blade. The method further includes predicting a rotor imbalance using a model of at least a portion of the wind turbine. The method also includes comparing the predicted rotor imbalance with a predetermined threshold value. The method further includes one of regulating the pitch position for the second blade such that the predicted rotor imbalance is restored to a value below the predetermined threshold and regulating a pitch position for a second blade such that the predicted rotor imbalance does not exceed the predetermined threshold.

A method and system for shutting down a wind turbine is presented. The method includes determining one or more pitch positions for one or more rotor blades of the wind turbine such that a sum of potential energy and kinetic energy in the wind turbine is minimized.
