A computer-implemented method of managing electronic documents includes steps of providing a first electronic document, the first document including a plurality of first document content elements; providing a second electronic document, the second document including a plurality of second document content elements; defining a parent-child relation between the first document and the second document to form a hierarchy of electronic documents that includes the first and second electronic documents; defining an override relation to bind a selected first document content element to a selected second document content element, the override relation specifying an override type that determines whether the selected second document content element should be replaced by, appended to the selected first document content element or removed, and enforcing the at least one override relation binding the selected first document content element to the selected second document content element.

Computer-implemented methods and systems for electronic document inheritance

The invention is a data structure published to an access viewer network such as the Internet or a wide area network. The deployment and publication of the data structure results in topic pages containing content items displayed for the access user. Means accomplish subscription and changes to the published data structure with minimal re-publication or re-deployment changes, thereby minimizing uploading time.

A lightweight flexible conduit particularly suitable for aircraft applications for shielding electrical wire and cable from electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference. The apparatus including an inner core of elastically deformable flexible tubing having an outside surface of helical corrugations, metalized fabric wrapped around the helical corrugations and post-formed onto the corrugated helix of the core by string, thread, or wire which pulls the fabric down into the base of the continuous trough of the corrugations, and a protective jacket. A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes an axial drain wire incorporated into the lamination and running the length of the conduit to provide lower ground path resistance.

Lightweight shielded conduit

A conductive yoke is provided insertable into a backshell adapter to provide a convenient shielding termination system for grounding braids and shields of conductors in a multiconductor cable to be connected to and grounded at a multipin electrical connector, the yoke providing ease of connection of such braids and shields to it and having direct electrical contact to the grounded surface of the connector.

Multiple internal shield termination system

A cable braid splice for creating a mechanical and electrical junction between two pieces of metal braid covering a single cable is disclosed, including a coiled ribbon spring having a first and second ends, coils at each end wound inwardly towards one another, a joining segment of ribbon interposed between the coils, and a thin pliable &ldquo;C&rdquo; clip for placement partially around a cable bundle and underneath overlapping cable braids. A method of using the splice is also disclosed, including the steps of placing a &ldquo;C&rdquo; clip over a wire bundle and underneath two opposing layers of braid so as to encompass approximately half the circumference of the cable bundle but leaving a gap on the other half, pulling the braids into an overlapping relationship with one another, pressing down the braids to form a ridge at the location of the clip, and applying the coiled ribbon spring by wrapping the opposing coils several times around the cable and opposing braids on each side of the ridge such that the joining segment of the coil crosses the ridge at the position of the gap in the &ldquo;C&rdquo; clip.

A strain relief for electrical fittings includes a body portion having a pair of ends, the first end for attachment to a connector, and the second end having a worm drive clamp for releasable clamping upon a cable. The strain relief may include a flexible boot to provide a sealing function, or a flexible tube of braided shielding wire to provide EMI shielding.

A cable termination system for heavy duty cables having a threaded metallic or plastic shield includes only two members; a termination body and a termination nut, the former having internal threads mating with an internal thread shield of the cable and the latter having rounded internal threads mating with rounded external threads of the termination to clamp at least the outer braids of the cable between the external threads of the termination and the internal threads of the termination nut. The termination body is screwed onto the shield and provides an annular pocket to receive the end of the shield to protect the wires of the cable from burrs and sharp edges at the end of the shield. The internal threads of the termination have a different pitch from those of its external threads whereby the threads bind the termination nut and prevent it from becoming unscrewed from the cable. The termination nut is locked in place by snap rings and its end seats against an O-ring to isolate it from the environment while the other end of the nut engages a projection on the termination body to seat the outer covering of the cable between the two elements of the system.

Field repairable conduit termination system

A locking coupling primarily for backshell connectors includes basically a main cylindrical body through which wires pass to an electrical connector, a coupling collar for connecting the backshell to the connector and a locking collar in one position permitting the coupling collar to rotate relative to the main body and in a second position locking this coupling collar to the main body, the main body having a circumferential ring of radial and axially extending teeth, a pawl having teeth carried by the coupling collar in alignment with the teeth of the main body, the locking collar forcing the teeth of this pawl into tight engagement with the teeth of the main body in the locking position.
