A reflector lamp comprises an arc discharge tube disposed at about the focus of a parabolic reflector. The arc tube is supported by two lead-in support wires which extend through the back of the reflector. The external ends of the lead-in support wires are secured in a stabilizer support which is adhesively bonded to the back of the reflector.

High intensity reflector lamp

A flash assembly which uses an elongated arc discharge flash tube positioned within a reflector. A trigger bar member fits within a slot of the reflector and is located adjacent the tube. The reflector, trigger bar, and the contacts which electrically connect the electrodes projecting from the tube to a suitable power source are mounted within an insulative base. The invention is particularly suited for use within a camera assembly.

A cold cathode arc discharge flash lamp has a cathode assembly in which an electron emissive pellet is secured on the lead wire or rod entering the flash tube envelope. One or more coils of molybdenum or a similar body of ceramic refractory shield the emissive face of the pellet from destructive ion bombardment while exposing the face for electron emission.

A high wattage incandescent lamp which includes a two-part ceramic base. Within the base is a barrier section which separates the base's cavity from the respective pin recesses. The structure permits utilization of hollow pins which include a flattened end portion for being retained within the base. The lamp is especially suited for studio, theatre, and television applications.

A retrofit assembly for replacing a lens-containing lamp in an overhead projector. The assembly comprises a quartz-halogen lamp, having an internal reflector and an enlarged base removably mounted in the projector, and a lens holding bracket removably mounted in the projector in alignment with the lamp. The bracket is resiliently pivoted toward the lamp and has a tab for striking the lamp base to retain the lens at a predetermined distance from the lamp.

A xenon flashtube having an envelope formed of soft glass tubing with a pair of electrodes disposed at each end of the envelope for providing a wall-stabilized discharge. The use of soft glass permits a match seal to dumet lead-in wires and results in a lower cost unit.

A high voltage xenon filled flash tube has a trigger conductor wire embedded in the glass envelope of the tube or in an aluminum reflector on the tube. The wire does not penetrate the glass envelope nor enter the gas filled volume through which arc discharge occurs.
