A post assembly for a coaxial cable connector comprises, in one embodiment, a post configured to be coupled to a conductor of the coaxial cable. The post assembly has a post extender disposed between the post and an interface port, and a spring configured to urge the post extender toward the interface port.

Post assembly for coaxial cable connectors

One embodiment relates to a cable connector. The cable connector includes a body having a forward end and a rearward end opposite the forward end, a post disposed at least partially within the body, a fastener coupled to the forward end of the body, and a compressible member disposed on an outer surface of the body. The post includes a flange portion extending radially from a forward end of the post. The fastener is axially movable between a forward position and a rearward position, and wherein the fastener comprises an interior surface configured to contact the flange portion of the post when the fastener is in the forward position. The compressible member is configured to force the fastener toward the forward position such that the interior surface of the fastener provides a continuous pressure against the flange of the post when the fastener is in the forward position.

Cable connector

A coaxial cable connector for coupling a coaxial cable to a mating connector is disclosed. The coaxial cable connector may include a connector body having a forward end and a rearward cable receiving end for receiving a cable. The connector may include a nut rotatably coupled to the forward end of the connector body and an annular post disposed within the connector body for providing an electrical path between the mating connector and the coaxial cable. The connector may include a biasing element, wherein the biasing element is configured to provide a force to maintain the electrical path between the mating connector and the coaxial cable. In one embodiment, the biasing element is external to the nut and the connector body. In one embodiment, the biasing element surrounds a portion of the nut and/or the connector body.

A coaxial cable connector includes a connector body having a forward end and a rearward cable receiving end for receiving a cable and a nut rotatably coupled to the forward end of the connector body. The nut includes a flanged head portion at its forward end and a tubular body portion extending rearwardly from the head portion over the connector body and terminating adjacent the rearward cable receiving end of the connector body. The flanged head portion is radially enlarged, having an outer diameter greater than a maximum outer diameter of the tubular body portion, and the tubular body portion preferably surrounds more than half the length of the connector body.
