A removable roof rail assembly for a motor vehicle includes a roof rail and latch assembly for securing the roof rail to the motor vehicle. The latch assembly includes a push button actuator to conveniently and efficiently release the latch assembly and allow one to remove the roof rail from the motor vehicle. A related method for selectively securing a roof rail to and removing a roof rail from the motor vehicle is also provided.

A removable roof rack system includes a first roof rail having a first guide track, a second roof rail having a second guide track and a crossbar having a first end and a second end. The removable roof rack system also includes a first slide received in the first guide track, a second slide received in the second guide track and a first releasable latch assembly connecting the first end to the first slide and a second releasable latch assembly connecting the second end to the second slide.

A sensor mount system for a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a sensor cover having a plurality of walls defining a cavity, wherein at least one of the plurality of walls comprises a window; and a movable rack, within the cavity, having a platform, wherein, when the rack is in an operative position, a location of the platform corresponds with a location of the window.

A method of forming a hemming tool includes providing a computer generated model of a panel including a flange in an unhemmed position and of a hemming tool including a hemming surface. Hemming the flange with the hemming tool is virtually simulated in the computer generated model. At least one non-conformity is identified along the flange in the computer generated model after virtually simulating hemming. The computer generated model is then modified to a modified computer generated model by adjusting the flange to change the at least one defect. Hemming the flange in the unhemmed position with the hemming tool is then virtually simulated in the modified computer generated model in the modified computer generated model.
