A hydraulic brake booster system. The hydraulic brake booster system includes a primary piston axially moveable within a bore of a cylinder, a booster chamber located rearwardly of the primary piston within the bore, an input rod extending within the booster chamber, a booster vent path in selective fluid communication with the booster chamber, and a seal member located between the forward face and the primary piston, the seal member in a fixed relationship with the input rod and configured to (i) seal the booster vent path from the booster chamber when the input rod is in a first position, and (ii) not seal the booster vent path from the booster chamber when the input rod is moved rearwardly within the booster chamber to a second position.

A sealing member for a piston slidably disposed within the cylinder bore of a hydraulic system includes a seal body having an outer sealing surface arranged to contact the cylinder bore and a glide ring at least partially disposed within the outer sealing surface of the seal body. The glide ring includes an outer surface and the outer sealing surface of the seal body includes at least one seal lip projecting beyond the outer surface of the glide ring.

Seal member for a hydraulic braking system

A hydraulic braking system for use in a vehicle employing both hydraulic and regenerative braking including a master cylinder with a reservoir inlet port and an outlet port. The outlet port is responsive to vehicle operator applied brake pedal pressure to close the inlet port and provide pilot pressure at the outlet port which is selectively coupled by a valve () to a hydraulic pedal simulator and to a control valve. The control valve provides boost hydraulic pressure from a pressure source to a vehicle wheel brake actuator in proportion to the pressure differential between the pilot pressure and a hydraulic pressure which is proportional to regenerative braking torque. This allows the power train controller to independently request different levels of regeneration on the two axles.
