The present invention relates to an electronic timepiece allowing the display of at least one first time related data item (H ) conventionally based on the Hour-Minute-Second system, and at least one second time related data item (H ) based on a decimal system in which the time is divided at least into thousandths of a day. For this purpose the timepiece according to the present invention includes generating means ( ) which, from auxiliary control pulses (I ) originating from the time base ( ), allow second control pulses (I ) to be supplied allowing said second time related data item (H ) to be formed and displayed.

Electronic timepiece including a time related data item based on a decimal system

There is disclosed a timepiece ( ) powered by an electric power source formed by a battery (P) including a case ( ), a battery compartment ( ) formed by a housing ( ) arranged inside said case to accommodate the battery, and means for closing the housing including a removable cover ( ) able to be mechanically locked onto the case. The timepiece further includes connecting means ( ), arranged partly in said housing, for allowing electric access to electric or electronic components of the timepiece housed within the case. These connecting means include a plurality of connection terminals ( ) arranged in the housing at the periphery of the battery, this housing being arranged so that the connection terminals are accessible from outside the case after the removal of the removable cover, without requiring the battery to be removed from its housing.
