A refrigerator shelf includes a glass platform having an encapsulating rim which is integrally formed with a pair of downwardly extending wing members, each having a transverse threaded hole formed therein. A projection member, including an elongated shaft having a threaded section spaced from a tip portion, is provided for each wing member. The threaded section is threadably received in the hole of a respective wing member. The shelf is adapted to be slidably supported upon side wall rails of a refrigerator liner, with the tip portion of each projection member extending beneath a respective one of the rails, thereby preventing tipping of the shelf. The tip portion is also adapted to engage structure on the rail in order to limit the permissible degree of sliding movement of the shelf along the rails.

Refrigerator shelving assembly

A shelving support system for use in an appliance, having an outer shell within which is positioned a compartment defining liner having first and second opposing side walls spaced from the outer shell by an insulation zone, includes a plurality of first shelf supporting sockets that are integrally formed, at spaced locations, with the first side wall of the liner and a plurality of second shelf supporting sockets that are received within apertures formed in the second side wall of the liner. Each of the first and second sockets define cavities within which terminal ends of shelving members can be received. Each of the second shelf supporting sockets includes an angled body portion with the forwardmost second shelf supporting sockets within the liner defining compartment being preferably angled downwardly and the aft second shelf supporting sockets having body portions which are angled rearwardly relative to the compartment. The body portions are formed with ribs which aid in maintaining the second shelf supporting sockets in the apertures following the placement of insulation within the insulation zone.

Refrigerator rack

A rack supportable on a refrigerator shelf for storing a bottle of wine, a carton of eggs or a plurality of cylindrical beverage cans. The rack includes a vertical sidewall terminating in an inwardly directed top flange for engaging the refrigerator shelf, a longitudinal depression in a bottom wall for supporting the wine bottle and an incline in the bottom wall for permitting the beverage cans to automatically self-feed towards the front of the rack.
