A ceiling mount light with a single spherical lens with a 360-degree range viewing field to focus infrared energy into a motion sensor is provided. The ceiling mount light has a sensitivity regulating switch to adjust the level of sensitivity up to about 30 feet in the 360-degree viewing field.

An illuminated doorbell pushbutton assembly includes a pushbutton assembly that uses a light source, or a plurality thereof to illuminate the pushbutton. The assembly also includes a user-adjustable rotating task light that can be used to direct light to a door lock, a dark step, or to provide a light for identifying keys. A reflector is rotated through an arc to direct light to the area desired by the user. The assembly further includes an electrical circuit that enables the assembly to be installed with electro-mechanical or electronic chimes.

A method and circuit arrangement dynamically calibrate a photosensitive control for a light source that includes a voltage divider circuit coupled to a resistive light detector and configured to output to a comparison circuit a variable voltage signal that varies with the resistance of the resistive light detector. To calibrate the photosensitive control, a variable impedance circuit in the voltage divider circuit is adjusted to null out any changes in voltage caused by feedback from the controlled light source. The amount of correction is proportional to the amount of light feedback. Based on the amount of correction needed, a new reference voltage is selected that will accurately detect the next dusk to dawn transition while the light feedback is present.

An electrical rough-in box for a low voltage transformer is provided. The box has a removable cover with a low voltage transformer mounted there through. The removable cover contains a recessed portion for accommodating low voltage wiring. A sidewall of the box contains a channel for low voltage wiring, thus permitting flush mounting of the box against a wall stud.

A hammer-actuated fastening tool utilizing a powder cartridge for driving a fastener into a workpiece upon discharge of the cartridge includes a retainer clip for maintaining the cartridge in its operative position within the tool for discharge of the cartridge. The tool includes a housing within which a fastener is positionable, a cartridge-holding body supported within the housing defining a bore within which a cartridge is operatively positionable, and an elongated firing pin for transferring the impact of a hammer to the cartridge for discharging the cartridge. A guide member body is positioned about the firing pin for guiding the firing pin relative to the cartridge-holding body from a first position to a second position at which the impact of the hammer is transferred to a cartridge positioned within the cartridge-holding body. The retainer clip is attached to the guide member body so as to be interposed between the firing pin and a cartridge positioned within the bore of the cartridge-holding body.
