The door assembly has an inner door panel, an outer door panel and a window module opening. A window module includes a module frame with a side impact beam assembly; a belt reinforcement beam, a front glass guide channel and a rear glass guide channel. A window is slideably mounted in the glass channels. A window regulator assembly is mounted on the module frame and connected to the window. Pin and slot connectors connect the side impact beam assembly to the inner door panel. Mechanical fasteners secure the belt reinforcement beam to the inner door panel.

Vehicle door

A door check arrangement for a van door is provided which, in a preferred embodiment, includes an arm connected to the door and translationally connected to the vehicle along an end; a track mounted within the vehicle receiving the arm and having a striker plate and an entrapment section; a support connected to the arm second end and having a first slot with first and second ends and a second slot with first and second surfaces angled from one another; a detent plate having a surface inclined with respect to the striker plate and also having first and second pivot pins mounted within the first and second slots; and a spring biasing the detent plate to place the first pivot pin toward the first slot first end and the second pivot pin on the first surface of the second slot, whereby motion of the door from a closed to a checked open position causes the detent plate inclined surface to contact the striker and to pivot the detent plate in a first angular direction and wherein further movement of the door toward a checked open position causes the detent plate to pivot again in a second angular direction opposite the first angular direction to place the detent plate in the entrapment section of the track with a low first threshold of force on the door in the opening direction and wherein the door is thereafter checked open even when the vehicle is on a declining surface toward the first end of the first slot.

Door check for vehicle sliding door

A motor vehicle window molding installation has a molding for concealing a space between an inwardly extending wall of a flanged vehicle body panel and an edge of a window panel. The edge of the window panel overlies a parallel extended wall which intersects the inwardly extending wall of the flanged vehicle body panel and mounts on the parallel extended wall of the flanged vehicle body panel by a curable adhesive. The molding has a rigid high durometer plastic material portion having a C-shaped channel section including spaced apart legs which forcibly grip the opposed faces of the window panel and a base wall connecting the legs. A pliable low durometer plastic material portion is co-extruded with the rigid portion. The pliable portion has a web including a pair of ends which bond to the rigid portion. The web and the rigid portion form a bulbous tubular portion for engaging the inwardly extending wall of the vehicle body panel. The rigid portion has a rib extending between the base wall of the C-shaped channel section and the web which partitions the bulbous tubular portion and biases the web into engagement with the flanged vehicle body panel whereby the web conceals the space between the flanged vehicle body panel and the edge of the window panel.
