A safety device for modules that store windings of communication lines, includes a metallic rod whose ends are configured to receive metallic screws to secure the rod on a base of a given module. End sections of the rod extend to a height at least equal to the height of the stored windings. Intermediate sections of the rod extend in opposite directions from the end sections, substantially parallel to the module base. Outer ends of the intermediate sections at least coincide with the outer periphery of the stored windings. A central section of the rod has opposite ends adjoining the outer ends of the intermediate sections. The central section rises over a path that at least coincides with the outer periphery of the stored windings. The end sections of the rod capture the windings, and the central section prevents them from dropping below the module during a building fire.

Safety guard device for modules storing communication lines

A guide tool device for an optical fiber or cord includes a tool base that mounts on an adhesive syringe. A cord guide head has a flat leading edge, a key removably insertable into a keyway in the tool base, a guide channel for guiding a fiber toward the leading edge, and a tube for receiving an adhesive. An opening in the guide channel communicates adhesive from the tube into the channel, for applying the adhesive along a fiber while it is guided toward the leading edge on the guide head. A fitting is arranged to connect in sealing relationship with a distal end of the syringe, and a flexible tubing is connected between the fitting and the other end of the tube on the cord guide head. When urged toward the distal end of the syringe, the adhesive is communicated into the guide channel in the cord guide head.

A cable adapter module includes a cable tray that holds a plurality of cables and an adapter tray removably attached to the cable tray. The adapter tray includes a plurality of adapters configured to connect the plurality of cables. The cable adapter module may also include a plurality of cable clips configured to secure the plurality of cables to the cable tray. The cable tray of the cable adapter module may also include a plurality of steps configured to hold the plurality of cables. The cable tray of the cable adapter module may also include a plurality of splice slots extending from the base wall towards the top of the cable tray, and at least one splice holder removably attached to the plurality of splice slots.

An optical connection terminal for a fiber optic communications network includes a base, the base comprising an exterior wall. The terminal further includes a cover connected to the base, wherein an interior cavity is defined between the base and the cover. The cover includes a bottom panel, a first end wall, a second opposing end wall, a first sidewall, and a second opposing sidewall, wherein the bottom panel extends between the first end wall and opposing second end wall and between the first side wall and second opposing sidewall. The terminal further includes an exterior channel defined in the bottom panel, and a stub cable port defined in the bottom panel within the exterior channel of the cover. The terminal further includes a plurality of connector ports defined in the exterior wall of the base.

An optical fiber transition assembly comprises a cable having a first terminal end from which extends an optical fiber. A furcation tube is also provided, having a second terminal end near the first terminal end of the cable into which the optical fiber of the cable is received. A polymeric transition element surrounds the first and second terminal ends to protect and secure the optical fiber in transition from the cable to the furcation tube, the polymeric transition element being configured to be retained in an entry port of an enclosure.
