A toy vehicle booster for accelerating a toy vehicle upon a trackway includes a pair of rotating flexible resilient booster wheels positioned on each side of the trackway. In an alternative embodiment, a booster wheel is positioned above the trackway so as to engage the horizontal surfaces such as the roof of the toy vehicles. The booster wheels are formed of a concave resilient structure having a plurality of apertures positioned within the booster wheel to provide a desired flexibility in certain portions of the booster wheel.

A hobby horse includes a neck and head portion secured to the user's waist by a belt attachment. A rein switch is supported within the head interior and is coupled to each end of a closed rein set and is responsive to pulling action upon the reins. A motion sensing switch is supported within the head portion of the hobby horse and responds to motion and changes of motion of the child user and hobby horse. A pair of pressure sensitive switches are disposed proximate the forehead and mouth portions of the hobby horse and respond to simulated feeding and petting actions on the part of the user. A sound producing circuit includes a battery power system, a speaker and a sound sensitizing circuit operatively coupled to the range switch, the motion switch, the forehead switch, and the mouth switch to provide a plurality of sound outputs responsive to play activities sensed by the switches. The rein sensing switch is resistant to overstressing by the child user in pulling upon the reins.

A motion responsive musical toy includes a generally spherical housing having a transparent hemispherical portion within which a center column supports a conventional musical tone producing circuit together with an output speaker. A motion sensing switch is operatively coupled to the tone producing circuit. A plurality of translucent floor segments are supported within the transparent housing interior and resiliently support a plurality of toy figures. A plurality of externally accessible push buttons are supported upon the periphery of the spherical housing near its center and are actuatable by inward pressure thereon. A plurality of conventional electric lamps are supported beneath the translucent floor segments to provide selective illuminations thereof. The musical toy responds to toy motion sensed by motion switch as well as the operation of the push buttons to provide oscillation of the toy figures together with a pattern of flashing lights and musical tones for the child user's amusement.

Motion responsive musical toy

A carrying case which may be used as a toy building or toy playground. The carrying case has two foldable sides rotatably and removably hinged to its base by breakaway hinges featuring ball and socket portions. The other two sides of the carrying case remain in a vertical position attached to the base. A roof portion is connected to one of the foldable sides by breakaway hinges. The foldable sides and roof portion may be rotated to unfold the carrying case so that it may be used as toy playground. The roof portion has a built-in slide and swing. It may be removed from the carrying case and used as a separate toy. The carrying case may be folded to simulate a toy building or schoolhouse with a roof portion latched to the top of the case.

A record disc (10), and method for fixing same to a turntable (24). The record disc has a central opening (18) with a pair of arms (21) forming an interlock (20) and a pair of detents (22) formed integrally on a raised lip (23) extending outwardly from the lower surface of the record disc and surrounding the opening. The opening is placed over the central shaft (26) of the turntable and the record disc is secured to the turntable by the action of the interlock coacting with slots (28) formed at the base of the central shaft and the detents (22) held within a pair of openings (33) formed within a depression (30).

A launching and starting apparatus for use with toy racing cars or the like, the starting apparatus having a pathway for passage thereon of a toy vehicle, the pathway including a resettable trigger engageable by a toy vehicle with a flag selectively raised by the trigger. A gravity operated timer is provided and is operable from a raised to a lower position, actuation of the trigger prior to the timer being at its lower position resulting in raising of the flag. An audible signalling device is actuated in response to the timer reaching its lower position to initiate a 'start' signal to the user of the apparatus.
