Applicants' articulated edge guard protector utilizes a combination of relatively soft members which come in contact with the tie-down strap, chain, rope and the like, yet is maintained in place because such softer compressible members are combined with hard members which maintain the desired shape of the articulated edge guard protector and also additionally provide protection to the item being shipped.

Articulated edge guard protector

Plastic coil separators provide an improved storage environment for coils of strip steel and the like. The coil separators are fabricated of a rigid plastic such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polystyrene or similar thermoplastic materials. The separators are elongate and hollow, having one or two axially extending passageways. Transverse kerfs extending substantially through the walls of the separator at regular, spaced-apart intervals facilitate fracture of the elongate separators into desired, shorter lengths for use.

Plastic coil separator

A coil separator for spacing stacked coils is disclosed. The separator includes an elongated body member having a rigid inner core and an outer skin having a density less than the density of the core.
