A hydraulic system for a household appliance which includes a pump that is driven by an electric motor, an outlet conduit in fluid communication with an outlet of the pump, a magnetic check valve having a flap and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the speed of the electric motor in a closed loop and to determine whether the flap of the check valve is in an open position or in a closed position based on the torque of the electric motor estimated from the current consumption of the electric motor and/or the voltage in the terminals of the electric motor.

Hydraulic system for a household appliance

An electric motor driven that includes a pump body and a motor body having a rotor enclosure coupled to the pump body. The motor body further includes a rotatable impeller arranged on a first side of the rotor enclosure. An electric motor arranged on a second side of the rotor enclosure, opposite the first side, the electric motor having a stator, at least one stator coil, terminals connected to the stator coil and a rotor, the rotor including a shaft that is coupled with the impeller. A cover is disposed over the electric motor, the cover having an open end that is attached to the rotor enclosure in a manner that produces a leak-tight chamber inside the cover, the stator and stator coil being arranged inside the leak-tight chamber, the leak-tight chamber being filled with a non-gaseous filler material, the non-gaseous filler material having a thermal conductivity greater than air.

Electric pump

Control method for a washing household appliance comprising a drainage pump unit with an impeller and a motor supplied with an alternating supply voltage of a determined frequency from among a plurality of possible preset frequencies. According to one implementation the method involves an adjustment stage in which the frequency of the motor supply voltage is regulated between the preset frequencies. The method also includes an application stage in which a stator voltage is applied to the motor, the frequency of the motor supply voltage being regulated between the preset frequencies in accordance with the stator voltage applied.

Washing appliance and control method thereof

An appliance having a drain pump with a motor adapted to be supplied with an alternating supply voltage. A controller is adapted to monitor a current value supplied to the motor and to control the frequency of the supply voltage among a plurality of predetermined frequencies when the drain pump is operated in a full drainage mode. A storage medium associated with the controller stores for each predetermined frequency a maximum current value, a minimum current value and an optimal current value. The controller may stores computer implemented instructions for (a) determining if the monitored current value is between the maximum current value and the minimum current value, (b) comparing the monitored current value with the optimal current value, and (c) adjusting the frequency of the alternating supply voltage among the plurality of predetermined frequencies to cause the monitored current to more closely match the optimal current value.

Washing household appliance and control method thereof

A device and method for controlling a drainage pump of a washing machine. The drainage pump is powered by a synchronous motor that is connected to a mains voltage bus by a switch. During one or more stages of a washing program the switch is operated to apply in each half cycle of the mains voltage a delay time from the zero setting of the mains voltage to cause the motor to operate in a cut-wave mode.
