A multipurpose drawer assembly in a refrigeration appliance that can be accommodated in a first position in which the open storage area is oriented upwards, or a second position in which a bottle rack is oriented upwards, the second position being inverted relative to the first position. The first position accommodates food items therein. The second position accommodates at least one bottle. The at least one drawer include first and second side walls, a rear wall, and a bottom wall that together define an open storage area therein. The bottom wall includes a first surface defining a base of the storage area and second surface opposite of the first surface and exterior of the storage area. The bottle rack is positioned on the second surface of the bottom wall.

A refrigeration appliance includes an ice maker for freezing water into ice pieces. The ice maker () includes an ice maker housing (), an ice making unit () for making the ice pieces, a removeable ice bin () receiving the ice pieces, and an ice dispenser having a rotatable auger () that drives the ice pieces out of the removable ice bin to a bin aperture () at the ice bin via a driving force applied in a first direction. A latching assembly is provided at least partially at each of the removeable ice bin and the ice maker housing, and is configured to apply a resisting force to the ice bin at least along a second direction opposite the first direction. The removable ice bin is selectively removable from the ice maker housing by the user applying a removal force greater than the driving force to the ice bin in the first direction.

A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet defining a first compartment and a second compartment, a primary ice maker mounted within the first compartment, and an auxiliary ice maker removably mounted within the second compartment for selectively adjusting an ice making capacity of the appliance. The appliance further includes a dispenser for dispensing water and ice pieces made by the primary ice maker.

A household appliance, such as a refrigerator, has a body with a cooled compartment, a door that restricts and grants access to said cooled compartment, a foot assembly connected to the body, and an electrical connector support for supporting electronic components of the household appliance. The foot assembly includes at least one of an anti-tip foot to support the appliance and/or a wheel to facilitate moving the appliance. The electrical connector support includes a frame base portion connected to the foot assembly, a door sensor support attached to the frame base portion, and a door sensor configured to sense if the door is at an open or a closed position relative to the body. At least one component of the door sensor is attached to the door sensor support.

Door hinge and foot assembly

A refrigerator door hinge pivotably supports first and second doors of a refrigerator for independent movement. The refrigerator door hinge includes a bracket, and first and second arms extending outwards and away from the bracket. The first and second arms are arranged such that a gap is formed therebetween. A first pivot pin is provided for pivotably supporting the first door and is disposed adjacent the first arm. A second pivot pin is provided for pivotably supporting the second door and is disposed adjacent the second arm. An adjustment screw is positioned within a first inner channel of the first pivot pin and is configured to engage a shaft of the first door and to translate within the first inner channel so as to translate the shaft to vertically adjust a height of the first door.

A refrigeration appliance includes a compartment for storing food items in a refrigerated environment, and having a door for selectively closing the compartment. The door includes a front panel, a rear panel, and an endcap assembly disposed therebetween at a vertical end thereof. The endcap assembly defines a handle for allowing grip of the door to thereby selectively open and close the door. The endcap assembly includes a plurality of discrete, spaced-apart snap elements along a generally front portion thereof for clamping a distal end of the front panel at a generally vertical extent of the front panel. The endcap assembly and front panel are configured to be maintained aside one another rather than extending therethrough, with the endcap assembly further configured to provide an elastic clamping force to the distal end of the front panel.

An air tower assembly includes an outer housing, a duct with a damper opening, a damper configured to control a flow of air from a freezer compartment to a fresh food compartment, and at least partially transparent rear cover sheet attached to a rear of the outer housing that contains the duct and the damper within the air tower assembly. The rear cover sheet may be transparent or may have a clear or semi-opaque surface configured to allow visual confirmation of the damper during assembly, operation, and service. An air passageway is provided between the freezer compartment and the fresh food compartment to allow air to flow from the fresh food compartment to the freezer compartment.

Leveling feet have embedded castors () that allow the leveling of a household appliance with a plastic thread. The castors are positioned relative to the floor to allow for movement of the household appliance upon the castors. The leveling feet have a base, that is preferably metallic, and that is connected to an internal ring (), which contains threads on an external surface thereof. An external ring is coupled to the internal ring and has internal threads for mating with the external threads of the internal ring. The external ring moves vertically on the threads of the internal ring to change the height of the appliance.
