A servomechanism for sliding doors of furniture item is described. An eddy-currents magnetic damper () to dampen the door is used to brake two carriages () mounted slidingly on the linear guides () for slidingly supporting the door.

A furniture item (MC) is described comprising a body defining a compartment () with a front opening, a leaf () which is slidable and oscillating to close the front opening, and an L-shaped guide () comprising two linear segments () connected together. An anti-derailment system is described for a wheel which can roll on a track and is pivoted on a carriage which translatably supports a leaf of a piece of furniture. The system has a slider which is inseparably mountable or mounted on the track and is able to translate on the track independently of the carriage, and a constraint element for constraining the slider and at least one of the wheel, the carriage or the leaf to each other, so as to keep the wheel in condition of rolling on the track without derailing.

The furniture item comprises a compartment (V), a sliding leaf () to close/uncover the compartment, a mechanism () mounted inside the compartment to support the leaf during a horizontal movement in order to uncover the compartment. The mechanism has a support point () on the leaf when the leaf is moved to uncover the compartment, wherein the point is displaceable with respect to the furniture item along a direction parallel to the sliding of the leaf, said point being comprised in a rigid element () constrained to the compartment.

The device includes a second pair of wheels which are, together with the first pair of wheels, slideably engaged with the head respectively of a first guide and of a second guide which are T-shaped in cross-section, arc-shaped in plan view and the stem of which protrudes from the top of the piece of furniture.
