A handling system for handling ground-engaging wear parts used on earth working equipment includes handling tools to remove and handle wear parts from equipment and/or to install new wear parts. The tools can include a gripping system to engage and disengage a wear part for installation and removal. The gripping system allows an operator to more easily grip a wear part and allows for various shapes and sizes of wear parts.

The tools can include a torque or other tool to engage and/or disengage a lock retained by the wear member. The handling system allows an operator maintain a distance from heavy parts being removed or installed, reducing the risk of injury.

A wear member and fastener for securing the wear member to earth working equipment. The fastener can be installed and maintained from the top of the assembly. An eccentric retainer is received in a recess of the wear member and is rotated to shift the wear member rearward on the earth working equipment. A bolt passing through aligned openings of the earth working equipment and the wear member is received by the retainer to secure the wear member to the earth working equipment.
