A system includes a projector, an HMD, and a control device. A detection unit detects a first range and a second range when a user visually recognizes a first display image through the HMD, the first range being a range of the first display region overlapping with a second display region in which the HMD displays a second display image, the second range being a range of the first display image corresponding to the first range. A generation unit generates the first display image including an object and the second display image including the object. The control device generates the first display image by arranging, at a position within the second range corresponding to a position of the second display region for displaying the object, the object having a display size corresponding to a distance between the first display region and the HMD.

In an electro-optical device, pixel circuits are provided corresponding to an intersection between a scanning line in an i-th row and a data line in a k-th column in a display region, and an intersection between a scanning line and data line. The pixel circuit is brought into an optical state in accordance with a voltage of a data line when a scanning line is selected. In an odd frame period, in the i-th row selection period and the (i+1)-th row, a data signal of a voltage corresponding to the i-th row and k-th column of data of the top image is output, and in an even frame period, in the i-th row selection period and the (i+1)-th row, a data signal of a voltage corresponding to the (i+1)-th row and the k-th column of data of the bottom image is output.

A head-mounted display device includes a mounting portion configured to be attached to a head of a user, an image display unit disposed in the mounting portion and configured to display an image to be visually recognized by the user, a state detection unit configured to detect a first state in which the mounting portion is attached to the head and a second state in which the mounting portion is detached from the head, and a display control unit configured to cause the image display unit to stop displaying an image when the state detection unit detects the second state.

The backing unit includes microlenses, which are arranged on the second surface side of the ultrasonic elements so as to be located corresponding to the ultrasonic elements, and a backing member having slits through which the ultrasonic waves transmitted through the microlenses pass. The ultrasonic elements are arranged in the shape of an array, and the microlenses are arranged in the shape of an array corresponding to the ultrasonic elements.
