A technique includes sensing a wireless charging station that includes a wireless charging transmitter and determining a status for the machine based at least in part on the sensing of the wireless charging station. The technique also includes assisting with a process to wirelessly transfer power to the machine, where assisting includes causing the machine to provide guidance to the user based at least in part on the determined status.

Examples disclosed herein provide for the detection of an orientation of devices with respect to each other. Based on the orientation, one of the devices may route signals between wireless communication units of the devices, so that wireless communication units from one of the devices to make contact with the other device are properly mapped to input/output ports on the other device.

Examples disclosed herein provide for the detection of an orientation of a device docked to a docking station for the device. Based on the orientation, the device may route logic on the device so that connection points on the device to make contact with connection points on the docking station are properly mapped to input/output ports on the docking station.

An example system includes a location signature engine to determine a location signature based on a location of a user. The system also includes a signature comparison engine to determine whether the location signature matches a known signature. The system also includes a location determination engine to prompt the user for the location of the user based on the location signature not matching the known signature. The location determination engine also is to determine whether a user indication of the location is accurate.

In example implementations, an apparatus includes a housing. The housing includes an electronic connector coupled to a back side of the housing. In addition, the housing includes a pin coupled to a front side of the housing and in communication with the electronic connector. At least one alignment magnet and at least one wireless transceiver chip is coupled to the housing. At least one waveguide is coupled to the at least one wireless transceiver chip.

Examples disclosed herein provide for the exchange of signals wirelessly between devices. One example includes a first wireless communication unit of a first device and a second wireless communication unit of a second device. The example further includes a first magnetic member disposed within the first device to magnetically couple with a second magnetic member disposed within the second device when the first and second devices are to be placed within proximity of each other. The first and second wireless communication units may exchange signals between the first device and the second device over a wireless communication link formed by the magnetically coupled magnetic members.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a portable computing device for wireless communications comprises a first network interface for communicating with a public wireless wide area network (WWAN), a second network interface for communicating with a private wireless local area network (WLAN), and a processor executing under control of software instructions, the software instructions defining a gateway protocol, the gateway protocol establishing the portable computing device as an access point within the private WLAN after the wireless presence on the public WWAN is established.

Examples disclosed herein provide the ability for remote participants in a collaborative workspace to hear and view specified participants in a conference room. In on example, a computing device may receive streams of content from devices located in a room, and receive requests from users. As an example, each user request is for accessing a subset of the streams of content. For each user request, the computing device may join the requested subset of the streams of content into a single multimedia stream, and transmit each single multimedia stream to respective users.

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure an electronic device with a multi-layer heat reduction component is described. The device includes a number of integrated circuits and a first layer in contact with at least one of the number of integrated circuits to remove heat from at least one integrated circuit. The device also includes a second layer separated from the first layer by an air gap to reduce heat transfer between the first layer and the second layer. The second layer is retractable to expose the first layer when docked to a station. The electronic device operates in a first mode when docked to a station and a second mode when not docked to the station.

An example includes a wireless connector to wirelessly transceive data to and from a first device and a connector to transceive data to and from a second device. The interconnect assembly additionally includes an interface selector to establish a communications protocol to exchange the data between the first device and the second device.

An electronic device has a display in which the casing of the display includes a plurality of recessed cavities into which radio and antenna modules can be inserted to provide the electronic device with a wireless communication capability. The display can have cavities for one or more radios and one or more antenna modules. A radio electrically connects to one or more antenna modules via conductor(s) contained within the display and connects to the host electronic device via a serial bus (e.g., USB). Accordingly, the display can have a plurality of radio/antenna combinations thereby concurrently providing the electronic device with multiple wireless communication capabilities.
