A hybrid component is formed by a profiled component of a first material, which is materially bonded in certain sections to a component made of a second material, and is connected by a form-fit and/or force-fit connection outside the sections with a material bond. This creates sections that relieve the strains resulting from differing thermal expansion.

A vehicle seat comprises a backrest, an active headrest, a release device, and an energy store. During normal operating situations of the vehicle seat the energy store is blocked. During an accident, particularly a rear-end accident, the energy store is released for actuation of the active headrest. The energy store is arranged in the active headrest or in the backrest. The backrest includes an actuating device, and a transmission device is arranged between the actuating device and the active headrest.

A video screen assembly for a vehicle seat is movable between an upper position and a lower position and includes a fitting and a pivoting arm. A belt drive connects the pivoting arm and the video screen such that a torque applied to move the pivoting arm results in a torque being transmitted to move the video screen by preferably a directly proportional angular amount. The video screen can be rotated to a storage position where the vide screen display is protected from cargo with in the vehicle.

A fitting, especially a roof liner for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle is provided with a flat light source having a plate-shaped light guide which radiates light in the direction of the visible side of the fitting. The front surface of the plate-shaped light guide protrudes at least partially above the flat side of the interior fitting opposite the visible side and actively cooperates with a source of illumination.
